I recommend not using the silver springs. Have 3 leads go and one jam open. Larger heli safes are far better in my opinion. Another clever market ploy selling them in 2s also.

Why? Less waste packaging than selling indevidualy. Would think most buyers would want at least two. Been discust before but the waste packing of terminal tackle is shocking.

I agree, for the life of me i don't know why terminal tackle packaging cant be made out of something more recyclable like paper.

I used the red springs on the minis and I feel this is what split them. It put so much pressure on the tiny little cap.

You just open the case and swap the springs. The spring doesn't go over the line so no need to cut anything.

I mean they should do packs of 3. Most fish 3 rods so need to buy to packs. Be been less waste if they sold them in 3s

Not sure most fish three rods, plenty fish two or four and some one. Surely most would want a spare or two. Personally I don't see why shops can't be supplied with a box of a hundred or whatever and just sell them indevidualy, leads have always been sold loose unpacked although I see some are packing in bags of ten now.

Yep, they could do this with so much tackle; PVA mesh could be cut to length from big spools (like wire in the hardware shop), same with braid / mono hook length materials and tubing, and any number of rig bits and pieces could almost be sold "pick 'n' mix" style. The amount of plastic packaging on show in all tackle shops is an absolute scandal.

Whats the point of dropping the lead on a heli? Thought the whole point re safety was a fixed lead that meant the only tether in the event of mainline break is the hooklink . . .not a big bit of plastic on the end that could get caught up etc

Went back into lead clips my mate had 2 open up on the cast yesterday he's also binned them now,these are the mini ones,both locked into place the spring though felt and sounded awful
