love the fact Viking is still fighting his fight while the discussion has turned to the HUMAN BAIT thread, getting human men to feed on the plated spot with stella and blue cheese

dont do port, stilton only has a place melted over a steak. real mans cheese is the mighty cheddar, broken off the block and eaten by the fistful and washed down with Guinness

Bear in mind everyone is talking over a typed out forum. If we were all to sit down with some Stella and and a cheese board you'd get completely different interpretations.

Seeing as Joss is more loaded than than the incestuous regions of America I think it would be apt for him to set up a meeting at an all expenses paid cheese and booze banquet 😂

Love a bit of Stinking Bishop or Black Bomber, now I can eat melted cheddar but stilton melted on anything is just plain wrong and Guinness I'll only drink when I visit my mate in Dublin I dont care what anyone says it doesn't travel well.

You're absolutely right. I've had Guinness in Dublin and it's lovely, in london, not so much lol. However some of the English stouts are nice!

Agreed on the blue cheese bar one exception, when I ate meat I used to love blue cheese stuffed in a burger! It does go up a few pong levels though.

A favourite cheese was always beuvale, there was this little cheese shop in Northampton that gets some unbelievable cheeses in, as well as vine wrapped fig balls which is basically a very sweet spreadable fruit gloop....

It's my treat to myself at Christmas. Good stilton and a good bottle of port. Melts in your mouth. Hmmmm.

Agree on the Guinness, having lived just outside Dublin by the brewery for five years.

This could actually be the first thread started by a MOD, and then locked by the same MOD, before banning himself Wouldn´t want to be in your shoes, dealing with this rowdy lot, high on Stella & playing Stink Finger

Glenn, you must have the answer, the best Guinness I have had
was in a pub in Dublin, it had a very long name (about 5 words) it
was always packed, one night it was about 3 deep at the bar, I
had to mouth my order, pass the cash to others and get my drinks
passed back by other customers, but it was worth it, SO....
what is/was the name of the pub.

Only ones I remember are, the temple bar and neary's, went in loads that couldn't get to the bar just hold up the fingers for however many pints and they would get passed back by customers and like you say cash went back the other way. One I use to go to South side at the top of a hill, think it was the fox did sea food and often had a huge basket of garlic muscles with a pint of Guinness.
