Been a member on here for ages, and seen & heard quite alot of the unsavoury disputes that have occured over the years As this is a forum, i feel i have the right to voice my opinion, both positive & negative.

Quality members that`ve been a great source of inspiration & wealth of knowledge, have
all abandoned ship, mostly due to squabbles with the powers at be, resulting in permanent bans. Big loss for the forum actually

Certain "clicks" still seem to rule the roost, and "gang up", as soon as they feel the need to confront uncomfortable situations. I thought these school boy tactics were a thing of the past, but unfortunately, i´ve been proved wrong.

Thought provoking threads are virtually non-existent nowadays
Void filling & massaging egos, on a widescale, hasn´t been beneficial, to say the least.
For those keeping it real, continue to do so ... been a pleasure knowing you all.

Merry Xmas to you all ... “See You on the Flip Side”

Seems like DNA & Sticky rule the roost, nowadays, followed by Baitworks and other smaller bait firms. NASH, Mainline, Dynamite & CCMoore are mainly for the photo models

Mate of mine wants readymades and those 2 brands are the only ones available, for this bulk deal in Germany. Both companies move large volumes, but quality wise, not so sure who to trust.

I´m very sceptical regarding readymades and their quality, and that´s why I roll my own, and have been doing so for the past 15years, so i know exactly what quality ingredients go into my bait.

Cheers for the replies

Mate in abit of a dilemma, deciding which bulk deal to go for, either ...

NASH Scopex Squid
or
CCMoores Odyssey XXX

These are the ONLY 2 options available, on offer, so no other alternatives.

So true Siphoning your hard earned till every last penny is gone

Ask yourself ... if you buy a readymade product, that has been tried and tested, and optimized/tweaked to full capacity, to work effectively, from the moment that bait is submerged in water, then why add something extra to improve attraction, to an already attractive bait ? That applies to mass feed-baiting scenarios. It´s like buying a product that´s 95% effective and the same company selling you the missing 5% for an extra few quid, to add yourself.

Boosting hookbait attraction under certain favourable conditions/circumstances might give you an edge though. Well, all boils down to confidence, in the end, so each to their own.

Unfortunately, the "instant angler" dominating most waters nowadays, will jump on this product without hesitation Technical advancement is inevitable, BUT, should be an alternative for those "physically challenged", and not an outright replacement. Right tool for the right job, in the right hands ... "nail gun" or "hammer and nail" Well, used wisely and correctly, shouldn´t matter In this case ... Magic Twig gets a for me personally.

Not on it´s own, but thoroughly mixed with a "heavy liquid" that hugs the bait & the bottom Great attractor for the small creepy-crawlies, which inturn attract the carp So on it´s own, not suitable for "dusting".

Last time i saw this much internet frenzy within the carping fraternity, was with the issue of "hormone use". Must admit, the majority of OMC haters greatly outweighs those that reserve judgement. I prefer to use common sense and avoid "certain products", that "might" seem dodgy, and whoever manufactures the item, makes absolutely no difference. I most definately steer away from such gimmicks.

Fisheries have been quick to jump on the bandwagon and ban this item. One question though ... has DF´s klor "bent hook" received this much attention ? "Bent hooks" were banned outright, back in the day, due to so-called mouth damage, which is "enemy number 1", when it comes down to "fish safety", but Korda went against the grain and released it anyway. Have the majority of fisheries banned this item Don´t matter who the company is, if they release a "potentially dodgy product", without indepth scrutiny, then they deserve all the stick they´re likely to get from the kangaroo court

Personally, i wouldn´t ever consider having such a product in my tackle box, no matter how effective it might seem, but unfortunately, that´s what "modern day carping" has become, ruined by social media whores, outshining the genuine bloggers keeping it real. Looks like OMC have made a BIG blunder marketing this product, with serious repercussions

The ONLY edge an angler will ever need, is experience over time, learning from your mistakes and adjusting accordingly, due to the circumstances thrown before you, on any given day. Common sense & etiquette is definately lacking nowadays, unfortunately.
