Have to say , glad I got it , reading it in stages not in order . The esp videos have eaten into the desire to read some chapters , not because I know the story rather that Tel telling it makes it better .
I skipped strait to big S , somewhere I should have fished , but smoking mirrors about who was a bailiff etc see me chucked off . The main reason I was looking at it was that I stocked a few really nice looking fish into it many years before Tel fished it .

Haven't read Pennings book yet, but just finished Terry's latest. I decided to read it a chapter at a time, to allow each water to seep in, as it were.
I really liked it, particularly the way he described his approach to each challenge. Always a sucker for a good story on waters that have not been done to death in other writings, and found the chapters that he had already done for ESP gave something extra.
Slippery Seal was my personal favorite, lovely cunning old fish!

Having just finished it I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the earlier chapters on the Big S. Only thing I would say is if you have seen the YouTube clips then the last two chapters are an anticlimax. Only thing that spoilt it really.
I see the shambles that are Calm Productions are releasing a second run of “Through the Mist” later this month.

I have to say that after reading the reviews i'm not that fussed with this one, thought the other 2 were excellent, currently looking for a copy of through the green gates as that looks like one hell of a read.

As long as you haven't seen the vids or read about the captures in magazine articles it is well worth getting.

It's not bad, just not great. The biggest issue is the print quality, most pages have words missing or faded, which is an issue with the publisher not the author. One of the things I do like about the book is that Terry continues to tell it how it is, he doesn't big himself up at all, just tells the story as he remembers it

Through the Green Gate - Now that is a superb book
As for the new Hearn book, it is a good read (which is the main thing) but I agree with the comments regarding seeing the ESP videos. Not sure there is a way around that though as he has to keep his sponsers happy inbetween books
