Not wrong at all
I went in a tackleshop back along ,the reels were behind the counter ,displayed on the wall..As each reel was black ,I really couldn't tell which make ,model etc I was actually looking at..
All black,soulless,boring and lacking in any individualism..bit like those giant scalextric cars ,err ,modern cars ..soulless...robotic ,samey ...ughh..

Because of the length of the spool/spindle and the width of the spool with the bail arm, the bag I have (Korda not Kamo) has quite a tight area for the reels, so they have to be brought all the way back in and turned to fit properly.
these reels have always had good resell value, so if you like or don't like them, you'll get majority of your money back as I did.

Korda redesigned the holdall when they went to the dark camo range and gave the reel sections more room, as they could be very tight.
I had same issue as you and i only have the CI4+, however i use 12,6 rods and change to the kamo 13ft from a original green 12ft

Yeah - I have a Compac holdall from last year and the reel sections are very spacious, especially when you remove the handles like I do. I get that with the very slow oscillation it's more likely that the spool is extended making the reel effectively larger, but it's not even something I've ever given any thought nor been a problem.

They need upgraded spool clickers and drag washers, plus those baitrunner drag caps need to go, to even be in the same conversation as 10000xt's in my opinion
Great reels, but need a few upgrades first
I collect reels and for me, the XSB mgs are better than the XTBs, but the 10000xt's are better than both
All better than any basia though. Some of daiwa's less expensive reels are great, and so are a lot of the older, cult reels, but again, they need a few upgrades. I've got an amazing set of GS35's and some perfect SS3000 that I adore

Same subject . . .means getting the spool close to the rotor is a pain when
1 - Setting up rods (with spools all at same distance / roller at 12' o clock) V important for OCD sanity / catching the biggest fish in the lake / looking like a rock star
2 - Casting (as mentioned)
3 - Putting in tight rod bags etc
Items 2 & 3 mean loosening the clutch and rotating the spool until the desired position is reached - which with super slow oscillation means this takes longer and eventually adds more line twist . . .
If I had to remove the handle every time I put the reels in a rod bag I'd be buying either new reels (pref with folding handles) or a new rod bag . . . . . . . insanity!

All fair points, though I'm quite confused how the thread has become a debate on ultra slow oscillation!
But in the spirit of other topics... with respect to the reel handle thing, it's not a necessity by any means. Keeping the handles on is just fine in the Compac bag, but taking them off means there is more space in the reel area and - at worst - adds a minute or two to pack down / setup time. Just something I like to do, as you like to align your spools, and not in any way particular to these reels...

I almost ordered some Tech MgS XTDs the other day. I avoided buying them when they first came out incase they were cheaper looking/feeling than the previous XTC's.
Also a mate who got them complained immediately about that plastic bit behind the spooling coming out (his broke)
I have stuck with XTB MgS. I had 4 when they first came into the country (was on Erics Angling list to get the second set they got hold of). Then after seeing the XTC were a bit plastic looking I decided to get 3 more XTBs secondhand so I had spares reels.
I've been waiting for the next generation of Tech MgS to come out, but only to scratch-an-itch, I don't need them. The XTBs do everything I need (except cast 160 yards, but that's on me, I struggle to get 130!)
I've still got an original set of Basias (QD45). Never liked them. Daiwa (back then) didn't do great clutches....and with Shimano being renowned in the cycling world for their gears it made sense to go with Shimano for an item which was very 'gear centric'
