I also briefly had those reels and made a post commenting that my clutch felt a little stiff even when it should be loose. After my first session they were spot on. Arguably the best value reels in the whole range, and as good a reel anybody could "need". He says having had Basias and Aero Techniums in the past 6 months. 😂

I'm considering a bedchair upgrade having just upgraded my sleeping bag and the one which stands out to me is the Solar SP C-Tech Memory Foam Bedchair MKII.
I am quite space restricted with my car so the height of the bedchair when folded is important - we have an E Class and the big bedchairs with bags attached are too high for my rods to go over the top of. If you've ever packed your gear into a saloon shape car, you'll know what I mean. The C-Tech actually looks reasonably "thin" in the pictures (without the bag attached) so I'm wondering if that may actually fit.
Does anybody have the dimensions when folded, or can share pictures of it folded with something next to it for scale? Just want to try and get a better grasp of its height than the stock imagery will give me.
P.S. an XC90 is probably on the shopping list for 2027!
Thanks in advance :)

I had the same conundrum recently and went for the Ventec. Why? Because it has fitted bedsheet type elastic at the top and bottom vs. clips, and I'm used to that from my previous bag. Makes putting it on securely super easy. I think it's a wash between the two of them and you should pick the one you like the look of the most.

I think he changes sponsors more often than he changes his underwear. So probably not!

I can't speak to the Nash, but the Fox system won't be warm enough for winter without some extra layers on you and probably an additional inner bag from Snugpak or similar. I would steer you toward the Camolite Compact less the sleep system (so just the bed) and Fox's Ventec or Trakker's 365 bag.

To anybody about to order those - I would double check with them over the phone or email first that it is actually in stock!

I’ve dabbled with various pre-sharpened hooks such as the Jason Hayward ones. Every time I’ve gone back to Kamakuras. Why? They are so widely available that I needn’t worry about ordering them online in advance. They’ll be in pretty much any shop up and down the country. They’re fragile but I’ve become accustomed to that and am accordingly careful and particular. As for patterns, the most common Korda patterns are covered so there’s something for most rigs. My preferred pattern are Choddys in size 6 at the moment for fluorocarbon / stiff rigs, specifically Chods and D Rigs.

Hear hear. On one of my syndicates, people will hear through the grapevine and group chats that "it's not fishing very well" and stay home. That is exactly when I want to go fishing. I might be there when it inevitably does begin fishing well and it means less pressure. Not to mention there's a good chance it's total waffle. Strange to me that people stay home because of that, but perhaps they're looking for an excuse to not feel bad.
As for weather conditions, I regularly check the weather... so I know what to expect and what to pack. I am probably more confident if the weather is moody for the reasons I described in the earlier post, but I don't let that decide if I'm going. As you say, you definitely won't catch sat in front of the telly...
