Recommendations for some new bobbins. I have been using the korda stows for years but want some different bobbins. Looked at the korda black and white but iv seen alot of people say they go rusty! Any recommendations welcome. Thanks 👍

I've been using ESP barrel bobbins for a number of years and really like them. They come with additional weights to make them pretty versatile for close or long range work

Defiant still do a load of bobbin options. Every so often I try something new/different, but always go back to my trusty MKII's, so I can fish like a stow, or a normal bobbin as required. If it's not on your list probably worth a look 👍
Defiant mag heads or kudos mag heads are i use.

Another vote for Defiant Mag Heads
I prefer the Mk1 (with one line clip) but have numerous version and sizes in the kit box
I do like the carbon ones by CRK as well though, purely cause they look lovely

Carper tackle do a nice carbon one like a fox swinger and dobbins bobbins are worth a look

I have a love hate relationship with bobbins and all indicators in general - so much so I (stupidly) sold my rare Dymag jobbies that would have lasted a lifetime and went back to Stows (which I actually quite like). After getting bored of these I purchased 2x sets of Korda Black & Whites (small / long chain & large short chain) but soon realised how fiddly and limiting bobbins can be (especially in adverse conditions) so started to use the Fox Mini Black label swingers instead. Do actually quite like these however the fittings are poor (plastic hockey sticks and threads on the indicator arms that chew easily) . . .so went back to Stows (again). New line I'm using didn't get on with tight clip on Stows so was considering Delkim v2 Nitelites however now using Jag Safeliners which are a Stow/Bobbin hybrid of sorts - I like the soft central insert (gentler than Stow offset clip) and the fact that the body on its own is as heavy as a Stow with an overweight so maybe I'm settling on them . . .either way I've got 2x MINT 3x Rod sets of Black & Whites (both white bobbins) with isotopes / all og packaging I'd be happy to sell . . . !!!

Currently have some Gert Ooms and Daniel Shweinzer bobbins that are mega. You can see Daniel's on his FB page, he also does a custom “stow” for those interested and Gert has a web page.

I can confirm the Black n' Whites rust fella. I had a set which rusted in a season. Korda replaced them for me and the next set lasted 6 months. If you look carefully you can see it on some of the Korda videos. Darrell Pecks' were trashed in the Masterclass 7 vid. This was a while ago so they could have changed them by now.
I agree with other posters, if you want that type/size of bobbin, the Defiant Mag Heads are a good shout. He recently bought out 'Glow Mags' that you charge up with a black light UV torch so no need for isotopes. They're decent

Do they rust at the bottom where the chain joins? I have some black & whites but don't use them. I need notice they were covered in oil or some kind of lubricant when I bought them.

Jumping on the thread... But what hangers do you guys use with defiant bobbins? Have never really been happy with the many I've tried over the years.
Looked at the defiant bobbins a few times but,and I appreciate it's totally irrelevant, they have never looked great to me. Never considered myself a tackle tart 😂
