Got hold of some of this recently ( absolutely stinks) how are people using this /how much would you add to say 5k pellet or 5k particle?

The particle we use is dry but prepared and just requires soaking, but can't think of a way I can use the liquid and evenly spread it over the particle?

Also if I get it on me will the stink smell on me for ages? Mixing by hand would be easiest but not an option if it takes weeks for the garlic stink to get off you

I know it's an absolute lottery based on the weather, but! If it's how it usually is, pretty warm but starting to cool a little, what would your choice be?
Fishing a 60+ acre lake and currently booked onto the deep part / bowl of the lake ( 7-9 foot ) but it's featurless and really not my usual style of fishing.
However I know the swim usually produces some fish consistently throughout the year.

Alternatively I have the option to fish one of the arms, much nice place to fish, pads, snags etc but it's shallow around 3-5 foot in most places and history tells me the fish are there or not there and cannot move swims in the week.
( I know this as we fished the other arm last year in March, the day we turned up the temp dropped over 10 degrees and the fish which were held up there in huge numbers all disappeared into the deep water for the whole week)

But.. Generally.. Mid September.. Where would you fish? Where would the fish be more likely to spend thier time?

Tried some creamino last summer in France when I had to take freezer baits, nice bait but they were so far from round they were an absolute pain to try and get out with a throwing stick 😂

I've seen people say that about Jay's baits, I presumed it was just the variations / one offs that he changed all the time? I was going to check but hoped that the main baits, Great white / Sting / Plum were all the same each batch? Or that's not the case?

I had looked at ABS some years back, will give it another look but there used to be a pretty vast range which made deciding even harder

As title, have used DNA for the last 4 seasons or so but just fancy a change.

Bug has been my go to but the last couple of seasons it's not smelt / felt the same as when it first came out, know it will change due to ingredients available but still, have maybe lost a little confidence in it.

So my question is.. Do I try another DNA bait? I've dabbled with S7/SLK/Switch but didn't have great results on them ( can't say I really gave them that long ) but I know S7+SLK get generally very well spoken about.
S7 used to be much redder in colour so presume they changed some ingredients / less Robin red or whatever it was.

Other ones I have narrowed it down to are -

A Bait
Possibly Sticky? But think I'd prefer to use a smaller company

Guess I'm after reviews of any of the above, preferably not recommendations of more companies as that will only add to my indecision 😂

After 2 different baits from any of the above, they must be shelf life as I don't have freezer space otherwise I would likely use Poacher.

I generally use Specialized for many of my hook baits.

Have just brought some ESP quick change swivel lead clips and I'm scratching my head as to how they work.
The lead clip has a fixed swivel eye one end to to attach your mainline, and the other end a Quick link swivel to attach a your rig. It's all fixed inside the lead clip and doesn't seem to come out at all ( guess that's part of the design )

However whenever I have fished lead clips previously the lead clip sits snugly over a swivel so that it will aid in hooking the carp but on a violent take or when snagged the swivel will release from the lead clip allowing it all to be free running, but these seem to create a potentially dangerous bolt rig?
Am I missing something?

Feels like on a take the fish will now drag the lead around 100% of the time (unless it drops off the clip) where as before often the clip would release from the swivel allowing the fish on a take to have a free run as such.
Also if I was to have a snap off, previously the clip could have easily released the rig and the lead where as now unless the lead clip drops the lead then the fish will definitely be dragging the lead as well?

What's with the hate for RG? Genuine question as I was contemplating switching to them next season.
Are you sure?
