Hi,
Please can anyone reccomend a quality boilie thats rolled in 20mm or larger.
I love using large baits especially in the winter for several reasons,

Sometimes deters the birds if they cant swallow it
More visual if the carps sight is not as good in colder water
Easier to bait up at range without using a spod
Everyone else is using small baits.

I have been using up Essential Black Snail 20mm which I have caught on but now thats gone I need to restock so wondered what other alternatives there are, considering GS10, also from Essential.

I generally dont like flitting around changing baits but even though I did get a PB (also in the winter) on the black snail never 100% loved it

There does not seem to be many companies that are doing 20mm + baits, cant wait until Baitworks start doing them which I hear is on the cards.

Thanks in advance
cheers
Neil.

Not a recommendation, but DNA roll 22mm and 26mm baits. They seem to get a reasonably good press on here.

I can honestly recommend Rod Hutchinson KMG shelf life boilies in 20mm. They worked very well on Alton Water; 2x 20mm on the hair deterring bream.

RH KMG link

You can also get 5kilo bags.

Monster Crab are another good bait available in 20mm as well

Active bait solutions
Trent baits
Poacher baits
Rollin baits
Blake baits
All do 20mm

A few others do 22

For me it would be either Poachers Tiger Nut & Maple 20mm or 22mm, fresh baits only. Or RG Baits Vita-lac 22mm, fresh or shelfies. Both have good black friday deals as well so get your order in quick!!

Good shout thank you.
I have tried poacherbaits T&M at Sulby to very good effect in the summer (had to bait up with frozen bait though as it was not stick friendly unfrozen) as a good value bait that can be used liberaly. The more introduced the better the return in the summer. The syndicate I fish in Kent is another kettle of carp though hence trying to hunt out other alternatives.

Cheers
Neil.

Active baits do their baits 20mm 22mm 24mm and 30mm
Fish meals come out better than the nut but all still do well when I use them👍

Thank you very much, that looks very interesting and only a short drive from my winter/spring syndicate to boot.

As said previously, unless I plan to use plenty of bait and economics come into play, I hate changing bait from my norm so I'm generally blissfully unaware thankfully of the plethora of other bait companies out there.
I daren't usually look as I feel a lot are designed to catch me rather than the carp

Cheers
Neil.

I know are you in Bill Williams and his brothers place. They were lovely old characters.
Sulby is a lifetime love affair, first taken there by my parents when I was 10, 43 years ago, had a boat on there for a few years and also spent time up at the lilly ponds in the middle of nowhere.

Would love a ticket for your lake as its so close if the opportunity ever arises, I know some of the members as they used to also fish Sulby

cheers
Neil.
