Just built my first set of rods, and the handle / reel seat was so so easy and needed no special equipment. You could have a go yourself. I am the least handyman you will meet, but it really was a breeze.

best ive had is a set of deerhunter mufflon bib/brace and long jacket (7 yrs old now)
Defo worth having a look on john norris, or a phone call to see what a shooting / hunting shop recommends

if forever rods, get them to a rod builder and it will take them 20 mins and 1 night of drying on their rotating rack. Wont be expensive and the finish will be immaculate
applying the epoxys you'd need without a rod turner (for application of the epoxys and to dry them level) will lead to you having to take it to a rod builder to get it re-done

I’ve had a couple of eco-worthy batteries and they have been spot on. Victron chargers also good. My set up ended up as ………. 1 man
Ecoworthy - 100ah 12v
Bison battery box - v2
Victron charger - 12/20 - blue smart - 230v
Air nrg 6000, 16 psi integral battery - boat pump
Minn kota traxxis 45
All decent kit and been bulletproof over last 3 years. Not done any huge huge waters but it’s been spot on for cassien and similar

If you are interested in buying in bulk (sorry i dont know what the min order is) give ABS (Active Bait Solutions) a call. They will do you a bespoke bait on one of their many base mixes and are a v v trusted baitmaker.

you could give the team at the tackle box a call and ask them what in the darent valley range they would recommend. Those rods are v v popular for specimen tench roach bream perch etc etc
I have some darent elites in 11ft 1lb that i use for tench on the method / feeder and they are superb. I see theres a couple of ebay at the moment.
I bought one and tested it out with bigger feeders at a local carp match water and they handled low doubles with ease, but are superb for big roach / perch & tench.
So i bought the blanks from tackle box and built my final set from scratch
One of my best buys

ive got some
good all rounder and over 100yds a doddle with leader to 15lb mainline
i think they feel on the stiffer side for the test curve and a little bit dead in the hand, but feel great with a fish on
the 13ft 3.5 is my fav aviator and what i usually take out, unless i need a short rod or a extreme distance rod.
