I'm not fussed about the hooks, but the boxes are ideal for storing my preferred hooks.

Anyone know if you can just buy the boxes or seen any discounted Kamakuras anywhere?

Doesn’t help you, but that’s exactly what I do, use the kamakura boxes to keep my preferred hooks safe in my tacklebox. As soon as it’s empty, I restock with another 10. I use the wide gape and choddy boxes for equivalent patterns. Just wish they did a long shank and curve shank version too so I could do the same with those. I have to make do with old ACE boxes for those. Should be able to see in top right section of my tackle box…

Probably not what you are after but you can buy the fox Edges hook retainers. I think 3 is £8 or something and they work great. It is compact and has a foam cover to stop any movement and prevent damaging the points. Great for ready made hooks for quick swapping

Alternatively you can just buy the Korda hook storage box which is pretty nifty and even comes with a built in magnifying glass to make sure the point is straight etc.

Maybe give Ians Fishing Tackle a call to see if they can post a couple of packs of hooks cheaper than the standard £4.99 del.
They have one size/pattern on offer Choddy/Barbless/8 @ £3.99

Thanks for the suggestions, I've got one of those big hook holders. Decent but too big 🙂. I've tried conti boxes but they don't grip the shanks.

The kamakura boxes are perfect to hold 3 of 3 different patterns which is all I need to have for a night's fishing

Thank you, but not interested in any of the silly 3D printing they're doing bud. Locks you in and I'd lose a fortune when I sold it on 😂😂

The Gardner CVR ones are something similar, but probably cheaper than the Korda ones

I bought about 10 empty packets off eBay for about a fiver the other year - for exactly the same reason as you

Thanks Rob, but I'm keeping clear of the whole 3D printing fad 🙂 and besides, the whole thing is much too big for me/my approach
