Anyone know of any shops that sell the deeper quest boat for less than rrp? AD had 5% off the other day but would rather pay full price than give them my money.

Seem to be fixed price everywhere, also excluded from any of TFT's discount events.

The deeperquest was launched May 24.
Looking at how often they release updated sonars and some additions coming out for the Quest in June, I'd expect them to release a new boat in Autumn so if you want the latest & greatest, I would hang on for a bit.

They dont need to bring out a new boat as the chirp sonar in the boat is a bit like an app on a phone as you just update the software like your phone so you constantly get the latest updated version of the sonar. Its nothing like the castable round chirp sonars as they cant be updated. They kind of though of everything really.

Thats interesting, havent heard anything. Might bring the price down then or might hang on to see what new one is like. Any links or photos to it as cant find anything about a new boat. I would imagine it will be a cheaper version as it will kill sales of the quest.

Cheers, just seen it on fb. Looks a bit smaller than a quest with one hopper but hard to tell.

The quest boat is not that good,my nephews mate sold his after it was giving bad readings on the sonar.It was showing weed all the time,my nephew sent his rt7 out and lowered his winch cam and the bottom was clean.This happened on more than one occasion,as soon as he got back from France he got rid

Never heard of any issues at all with the quest Tony. Anthony who owns johnson ross was on facebook the other day saying its the most reliable boat they sell and have sold loads of them and they havent had a single issue with any of them. My mate has one and says its the best boat hes owned by a mile and hes had a few. I hear nothing but horror stories from rt7 owners. I will probably never use the quest when i get it anyway so not really an issue. Ive had my vulcan bait boat for nearly a year now and its still sealed in the box it came in as havent fished in over 2 years.

From your description it sounds like the problem with your nephew's mate's Deeper was"”your nephew's mate! In the Deeper App (and this applies whether you're using a castable Deeper or the Quest boat) there are different colour schemes you can switch between for looking at scan resolute. On all their videos etc. Deeper recommend a colour scheme that uses sort of purples, reds and oranges to show the makeup of the bottom. However a lot of users use one that has browns and greens as the predominant colours and they believe"”WRONGLY"”that green = weed. It doesn't. Deeper tell you it doesn't. User guides tell you it doesn't. It simply means 'soft', which could be weed or could be silt/chod.
Personally I think Deeper should retire that colour scheme because I see so many complaints and confusion about what it's showing, and I can understand why you'd think "green = weed". But at the end of the day if the users actually read the guides they'd know this was wrong. I have used both castable Deepers and a Quest boat, and have found them to be really accurate"”confirmed by both subsequent leading around and having a mate with a winch camera look at the same spots.

In a nutshell yes. I dont even look at it as it usually just stays in its box. I dont really like going anymore and havent for years as find it a chore but I still love buying it. Might sound very strange but you got to spend your money on something. I bought a tempest 150 rs with skull cap last month and it will more than likely never come out of its box. Ive actually made a few quid on some stuff that gets discontinued and becomes sort after as im usually the only person who still has a brand new one when i come to sell it 😀

If anyone is in the market for a quest both the tackle tavern and total fishing tackle knocked £100 off but I went with tft as buy stuff from them all the time and always great. Its now went into storage with everything else.

I've got a similar problem with rods. I enjoy hunting for old hard to find rods, but it's a pain switching from the sonik recons, so they barely ever see the bank

As another data point, I've just bought a new Chirp direct from Deeper in Lithuania, that was close to £400 and didn't attract any extra charges either. The whole thing seems a bit of a lottery!

Some people have been charged some havent, luck of the drawer from what I heard which put me off. All warranty's are collected by deeper so no need to send back to france if any issues. AD matched the fishdeal price of £1580 a while back for someone on the deeper fb page as i said he was lying as didint think they would do it as not a uk company but he showed me a photo of the receipt and he paid £1580 so was telling the truth.
VAT is included for orders under £135 but customs may add vat to orders over that value.

I emailed them , they have told me if i was to order the boat from them
" any additional import charges are covered under the contract they have with their courier.
In the event that the customs dept requests me to pay any import charges to inform them immediately and they will reimburse me for the import expenses. "

I have spoken to them a lot via email , and have now had the bait boat delivered. It cost what it says on the website there is no more to pay.
customs have had the parcel and have cleared it, after some payment from the courier. I would say this is DDP delivered Duty Paid. The seller says in an email that import duties are covered under the contract they have with the courier and any import charges if charged to me they will pay. If i ordered from them again i would expect it to be exactly the same, although i think i would email them first to check next time , It did make me rather anxious
The seller was open and helpful throughout the communications which was nice.
