Looking for a chair with a bit of height. Don't want to be low down to the floor like I am with the fox duralite.
Needs to be light as it's hand luggage, can't use a barrow due to fences.

I sold my duralite ,as it was 3x times heavier than a Helinox chair one or chair one xl ,both of which have an upright sitting position, easy to get out ,or up from ..
Ngt do a generic version of that Chair one by helinox ..These type of chairs hold a man's weight very easily ..and they'll pack down really small ,I actually wear my chair around my kneck or put it in my rucksack ..

I think my chair is called the Nash Indulgence Lightweight. It's about 3.5kg, has a concealed carry strap and is plenty comfortable enough for me on day sessions. The other one I liked the look of was by JRC, but I can't remember what it was called.

Nash, not a chance. To much of their stuff snap.

Just found a korum light weight so that might be a solution

You can do one of several things to alleviate that problem
1,buy the ball feet that fit on the rubber ended legs
2,make yr own mud feet for pennies..out of practice golf balls
3 ,make 4 round feet out of rubber car mats
4, Helinox do a special non sink mat thing that works really well..
( I have the proper ball feet ,I doubt I'll never buy a carp chair again,these are FAR ,superior in anyway shape or form ,to Nash,Fox,Avid JRC )
If you want small,and a chair that's got a backrest, these are yr only alternative, other than a John Wilson type stool ,and those are very uncomfortable,..

Didn't know they held so much weight. Always thought they were for skinny sorts only.
Look ideal for living in the boot as well as fishing.
I've tried loads of other 'light' chairs and always gone back to my duralite for lightness, flat packdown and ease of carrying so will be interested to know if the Korum is better

Mine ,fits IN ,my old esp rucksack ,I don't go anywhere without it ,it's brilliant as a bivvy chair ,camping chair ,coarse fishing seat etc ,if they were no good it'd be long gone ,each piece of kit I use is thoroughly thought about and researched..

This is my ESP,40 litre rucksack ,much used inside the Helinox chair one ,plus one of the Vibram ball feet ..
I have my entire kit under that chair ,like Bite alarms ,cook kit ,and just to the left is the latest 2. 5 litre water carrier which folds flat ..from prolite explorer ..
I can do the bag for a bag thing ,but you just have to think about minimalist products from the Bushcraft n survivalist world ..

Struggling to believe a big man chair packs down so small. Very impressive and I'm very tempted.

There are two versions ,I'm lucky to have both, chair one xl and chair one standard ..they don't really flex like that mate,your only problem is if its windy ,they can blow over ,seriously they that light..

A lot of carpers don't realise how far behind we are, as regards innovation, everything is regurgitation,...we need a collaboration tween rigged n Ready, bushcraft mindset and what prolite explorer are trying to do ....all this bulky stuff is not the way forward ..I got into wild camping ,bushcraft a few yrs ago its opened my mind to what is failing in the carp world

Like Adam I use the Helinox chair(Sunset)with their foot mat if it's a bit soft, very strong, weighs next to nothing and lives in my bag, all in all spot on!
I've still got my Duralite but can't remember the last time I used it.

What about uneven ground, this type of chair looks ok if the ground is flat but how do they fare if its a bit bumpy?
I'm still using an old fishrite (remember them) xtreme lite chair but always looking to cut weight/bulk.

I've never been anywhere where I've not been able to use it that includes camping on cliff edges to non commercial coarse ,and commercial lakes ..
Used one for nearly 7 yrs without issue at all ,

Found one on Amazon that has some adjustment on the legs so going to give it a try.
Only doing days & loath having to use the barrow so trying to cut down on the crap i take, every little helps

Can these Helinox type chairs be folded with the material in place ..... i dont mean folded into tiny package, just folded for throwing on a barrow or putting under a vehicle etc ... or do they always need to be totally dismantled?

Mine goes under my bechair ,when all four legs including the vibram ball feet ,are taken out of the elasticated frame ..
I keep mine as above ,on day sessions ,in my speedflex 1kilo unhooking mat..
When you first use the chair it will virtually set its self up...just add cover..
Sat on mine ,right now ....drinking in the atmosphere,.

Korum Supa Lite Stretch chair is very light at 2.3 kg.. It might be worth a look. I don't have any experience with it though.

JRC Stealth XLite is 3kg if you can source one. I've pimped mine for rivers / sloping banks with super long front legs (the mech is pressure fit so no springs / complex release mechs etc) so no reason why you couldn't do this for all 4x if you wanted more height - ali tube v cheap and easy to source . . .

Still got my original JRC TH Stealth Bedchair but also an all singing and dancing Nash MF60 sleep system which is uber comfy…..only problem is I need a Sherpa to lug it to my swim.

Outdoor Revolution Van Light Folding Chair 3D Mesh Diamond Anthracite only weighs 2.7kg .... I sat in one briefly at the weekend and it is indeed very lithweight and comfortable with relatively small packdown size.

Chair arrived, impressed at how sturdy it is & easy to put up/take down.
Aluminium frame with 3 height settings, 1.4kg with the bag & fits in the rucksack fine.
Replaced the brolly with a basha & a couple of long banksticks so i can ditch the barrow for days which means one trip to load the car...happy days
