I'm looking for a supplier of good pva products, especially for mesh sticks.
Recently, I tested some that I'd been using all year in a bucket of very cold water whilst I was fishing and was surprised to find it to be still in tact 12 hours later. Apart from residue left on my hooks where the knot in the pva sticks hadn't melted, I didn't realise how slow this stuff melted.
Anyway, I'm looking for a replacement, hopefully without the carp tax and something I can buy plenty of in one go. Needs to be fast melt and ladder free.

I tend to use entirely ESP PVA products nowadays as I think they are the best available. I don't use the mesh very much but when I have it has worked very well. In terms of solid bags ESP are the best I have ever used. I manage to get my bags extremely tight and I actually managed to pop many of the PVA bags from other manufacturers but never with an ESP one!

I found the cheaper brands I tried didn't melt properly, some hardly melted at all, some did but left a lot of residue. So I'll only use korda stuff now, it melts even in icy cold water and that's more important than saving a couple of quid to me

Same for me.
Carp Craze as it is very fine and fast melting (as well as a sensible price). I use miles of the stuff.
I have tried others that don't dissolve nearly as fast.

Anything in the summer (whatever is the best deal at the time), come winter I'll pay the extra and only use Korda, as it has always melted for me (some residue around the lead sleeve when using solids)

Always got mine off a guy on ebay, but can't remember the name of the seller. Can't see him on ebay either at the mo, so he's either stopped selling or has no listings on there at the mo.
All I can remember is that he was from Stoke and his listings were usually done by bidding (as opposed to Buy It Now). But it was decent stuff and really cheap.

Bags either Korda or Bank Tackle ( although not used these in super cold weather yet) PVA nuggets either from work so not a clue or Early learning centre multicoloured jobbies.

Agreed. Even in these temps the mesh dissolves pretty quickly.

carpers essential and carp craze for me. I've never had an issue with neither in all temps
Esp for me. Best stuff I've used by far, use the mesh all the time.

Esp for me for mesh and Korda for solid bags. Never found anything better then these two and have tried a huge amount.
I find that a lot of PVA leaves a really nasty taste in your mouth then they melt
Also use the Gardner slow melt solid bags for when I'm fishing in Thailand.

I won a match and got a huge load of castaway PVA. Took me 3 years to get through but I was really impressed with it

Slightly unrelated to the topic in a way, but does anyone mass tie PVA mesh baits? Does it have an effect on the PVA over time? Or does it still tend to dissolve the same

I do enough to get going , then do the rest as I go. I can do them so quickly now, it's not worth them going saggy by doing a load, imho.

In the summer I use much oilier pellets so tend to make them up on the bank as otherwise the oil sinks into the mesh and impacts the dissolve rate, I also find it causes the mesh to tighten significantly, which can be a good thing but will then rip if left for too long (I've made a bait box full of them in the past and forgot about them for a few months)

Any idea which carrier Carp Craze use?
I ordered last week, the tracking details offer nothing besides 'on its way'.
Not particularly impressed , kinda expect something more for the Godiva delivery charge that Shopify chucks on at the basket.

cheers, arrived about half an hour after I posted, the mailman had passed the house at 11am so I figured delivery was going to remain a mystery.
Typical, stalked the postie for a different delivery which didn't turn up and the PVA arrived when I was in the shed rolling some bait. The neighbour had taken it in.
I'd emailed CC for details and got no reply
