Does anyone think that the rig board in the large Korda box magnetic is a bad idea as I found they don't stay in place and when taking one out they all move I would prefer pins tbh

Changed mine to foam and pins,far better.Only issue is the pins can sit on things so lid does not close properly.

I agree. Otherwise I really like the box but find I still take a rig board with me separately, so one of the benefits I thought I was getting when buying this is not actually the case

Yep they only supply one magnet and you. Have to buy another separately

I've got 2 magnets in mine..it's still not great but I just put my 3 rigs of choice in it so I can get my rods out without getting my actual rig board out of my bag.

I like the look of the basix one for short sessions with the bulk of the terminal being able to be left in the car

I have the basix one. Perfect for the overnight sessions I do.
Limited on the length of hooklinks but I mainly use PVA bags so good enough for 4-5 inch hooklinks 👍🏼

Just swapped over too the Basix box from the tackle safe and compac case
After realising I didn't use half the stuff I has stored in there. I've removed the small rig board as I carry a rig safe anyway. Amazing how much weight you can save. Need to be ruthless fellas.

Love my korda box. Don't use rig board for rigs though. But I do use it to keep my solar springer indicator quivers, and they seem happy stuck down with magnet. I do have a rid/tackle safe though and that is wicked

That was my point if you can't use the rig board and have to take another one then what's the point it's a bad idea imo

That bloody magnet is always causing mischief in my box. I don't even use the rig board either.

Iv never really got on with tackle boxs there just too big and clunky even the smaller ones, I use the small esp bits pouch with a Korda 8 compartment mini box for bits and pieces, can fit everything il ever need rig wise and more, 2 pairs of scissors, couple of esp gizmos few spools of hooklenth spool of leadcore and a selection of hooks 👍

Ditto, well...didn't sell it...delegated it to my coarse fishing rucksack to replace a 20yr old original Fox box.

Then got a new Fox Box for carp gear. Prefer not having that rig bit, I rarely pre-make rigs, but I have a few in a Rig Safe in a compact at the bottom of the bag for emergencies

I also converted to the fox box, due to the rig board in the korda as every time i opened the lid on the korda there were a pair of scissors or a baiting needle stuck to the magnet.
I also have the large NGT tackle box which stays in the van for spare bits and bobs and for the money is a decent bit of kit.

Its not just the tackle box, the rig box magnets are as bad. Remove the pin from the swivel or loop on your hookink and if your hook is anywhere near the magnet, watch that baby go Always keep a grip of the hook now, ruined a few stiff links fighting that magnet
