I still have a pair of canon 8x23 binos I got in late 90s. They do me just fine. They have a clear and bright image. Best place to look and ask for reviews is bird watchers imo.

I use to go fishing on my little 100cc bike in the80s. It's very doable, but also limited. Anything more than a quick overnight under a brolly will be a struggle. Unless you have a food and watersupply. Didn't take a chair. Sat on the bank with a bit of foam

Totally agree, there is some very high quality manufacturing in China. I suppose alot of it is down to individual branded companys to search out decent factory's to manufacturer their designs for a reasonable bulk price to a high standard.

Love my korda box. Don't use rig board for rigs though. But I do use it to keep my solar springer indicator quivers, and they seem happy stuck down with magnet. I do have a rid/tackle safe though and that is wicked

I have always been a petzal user (and they are good) until last year when I got a ridgemonkey vhr300. And have to say I'm impressed with it. It's a more bulky and heavier that the petzal, but it is rechargeable and much brighter and comfortable to wear.

Well it's been a while since I posted. So thought I would pop in and say hi after seeing the issues the site has had from reading on the fb page.
It's been that long that I forgot my sign in details. So made new account then remembered old log in lol
Anyway hi from not so sunny east Sussex. Good to see page back up and running😎

Morning all
I'm still using a freespirit framed large carryall. And have to admit with age I'm finding its size and weight a stuggle. So been looking at compact rucksacks as a potential replacement to cut down weight. And have a more practical session and day only tackle bag.
After whittling down through what is avaliable.
I have narrowed it down to 2. The ridgemonkey 40lt rucksack and the korda 45lt compac rucksack. I like both. I really like how the ridgemonky main compartment opens up. But I think the korda I think has a better arrangement of outside pockets.
For those that have either. What are your likes and dislikes🤔
And those that have the korda 45l compact, do you think the 60l would have been a better size to get ?
Thank
Tight lines
Phil

i thought i would post in here instead of creating anothe thread.
i got my self finally a camera short list.
both canon ones a g10 and the other is a sx1 is. not being that use to digital i can't tear them apart. some really good things on each of them i like. im more swade towards the g10, but then the sx1 has some fetures that sound useful but feel they are so close that it comes down to the overal look thats going to make my mind up. ive read all the reviews but none of them really compare the 2 together. just wanted to know if anyone has any of these cameras and if they compaired it with the other and why you chose the one you got. and how easy they are to use as it will be used by the wife as well as me, and the wife isn't use to cameras as me. but did did use my eos 5 slr in point and shoot mode with no prob. the other thing is how fast dose it take befor the shutter works after pushing the release. i ask the because i have a digi pentax at mo and i find it a pain, as there is i big pause between me pushing the relise and the pic being taken.
