Looking for the best weather app on android

I fall for the crap of weather apps also, meh don't need a brolly today, the experts on the app told me so. And there i am again, sitting in biblical rainstorms.

Whilst it's true about they are not really accurate I use them for a guide to see what the weather is roughly going to be doingb

As someone who relies on forecasts for work, I've yet to find one better than the BBC weather app. Far from perfect, but I'm sure it's impossible to be right everywhere all of the time.

Have a look at WeatherRadar. I think Yonny recommended it last time this subject came up.
Very good. I also use WeatherPro. I binned the BBC weather app. Thought it was rubbish

Most apps use American data and the models they run, the Met Office use the same data more or less but their models are different. Once you get outside of the States the Yank stuff isnt great.
Get on Netweather and read about the difference.
The MO was originally a part of the MOD and is considered to be the most accurate even today a lot of info comes from military bases across the UK for the here and now, longer range stuff is based on satellite and buoys in the sea.
That info has a value and is for sale to all sorts.
There are a couple of F1 teams that fly the weather men you see after your local news around the world and pay them thousands just to tell them when its going to rain during a race.
In all my years using the MO site and clicking use my location has produced the most accurate forecasts, they are based on info from real life weather stations.
Ref post 24 the BBC is **** now because they ditched the MO for an American forecast compay because of cost, see my 1st paragraph 👍
If you want real time weather ie what your going to get in the coming 6 ish hours use the radars on either the MO or Netweather sites.

Yep - XC wether - great app and seems to be more accurate than Yahoo, Google etc - most forecasts are unreliable more than 3 days out though

Weather radar for me ever since i was out in france and my iphone weather app said no rain and my mates weather radar app said rain at 2200 hrs and it was bang on

Weather radar for me, don't look, at the icons they can be a bit hit and miss, but the actual radar feature is very accurate. However it does change so don't plan a week ahead as its just not that accurate, 24 hours ahead is feasible though.

Another vote for XC weather. Gives me a general idea of where I need to be on the drink.

I use XC, it hasn't always been accurate for rainfall, but the air pressure forecast is generally pretty good.

xc is good with the 3 hour windows.they get the rain times spot on but the wind strength tends to be a bit on the high side.

Reading ALL pages
