I know there's loads of previous line threads available but I'm struggling to decide so a bit of help would be appreciated. I want to replace the line on my 10ft rods. I currently have the old texhnium black in 12lbs and would say it's my favourite ever mainline but I'm aware they don't make it anymore so I'm in need of something new. The water I'll be using it on is fairly snaggy so I'm thinking of upping the bs to 15lb. I'd like it to sink well and not be too stretchy in order to feel the lead down. Casting is not really that important but I don't want it to be a pain in that regard. I'll know cm90 is well thought of as is the syncro xt but I'm torn.
Any other suggestions are welcome.

I use cm90 in 15lb and am happy with it. It's a noticeable upgrade over the Daiwa Sensor line I was using before. Can't really compare besides that.

I've used X-Line in 20lb in the past and found it a bit wirey for me tbh. Also I use ss2600's on my 10 ft rods and I'm not sure how fluro will behave on the smaller spools.

Does anyone know what the 12lb cm90 actually breaks at?

I like cm90. But for me nothing comes close to p-line extrusion. Seller on amazon/ebay ships from Poland.

Hmmm, that's irritating. I've ordered some cm90 now but I remember hearing that P-Line being raved about somewhere and completely forgot about it.
Does it cast well? (Not that I do much long casting)

I'm a huge fan of techinium black but when I couldn't get hold of it anymore I went to synchro xt but I'll be honest it didn't even come close to the techinium, I got rid of it and Johnson ross sell a Shimano techinium line (black colour) for £25 a spool I bought a few of them and been testing it out, now don't no if it's the same as the techinium black I liked so much but it's very close to it if it's not I really like it

It says the 0.305mm is 1100m per spool,the picture it shows of the line says you get 650m.Which do you use and how much do you get on the spool

O. 305 is 12lb I believe, the 0.355 is 15lb.

the amount stated still does not match what the sticker says on the spool of line in the picture though

Used a few but CM90 is what I've settled on.
Abrasion top notch
Sinks well
Colour perfect on the waters I fish
Stretch just about right casting/playing.

Used 6/7 others and cm90 ticks all the boxes for me.

I recently spooled up my SS2600 with ESP Syncro XT 12lb and so far I have been well pleased with it. I seems very strong and abrasion resistant for a .33mm line.

The last technium I used was nothing like the stuff that used to come in tins for £32 a pop, rubbish!

ESP synchro XT, superb for me, colour, the lot

Pretty sure uset to be 0.33 for 12lb back technium ... I have about 5 spools in the garage but cba to double check

Yeah it was but think it was much stronger than 12lb, can't remember the tackle box line test but think it was around 18lb.
