Hi all, I have just started carp fishing again. Fished alot as a teenager but not for about 10 years or more untill now.
Just wondering what is a good main line to have on your reels?

Korda lines are good, thay do a range, think theres a basic line in there basic range that will be fine in 15 lb for general carping, good luck

PB products control mono in 0.35. This stuff is in a league of its own. I rate this over ESP synchro aswell having used both

Depends what you want from the line.. e.g if I wanted a low stretch, sinking line I woudn't buy ESP syncro !

Sinks just fine I went from 6 years on 20lb x line to 0.35 Syncro it's been great 👍🏼

Just spooled up with cm90 and very impressed with it. Sinks well, casts well and more importantly behaves well.

Always loved fox active camo also

0.37 ? **** knows sure it's the 15lb on mine braid on the others which I use 90% of the time

Yeah 15lb is 0.37mm

A general all round line just by some reasonably priced Diawa Sensor in the clear or dark pick a lb line to suit where your fishing or rules.
I use Terry Eustace Pro clear in 14lb have done for years and that gets my vote...

Others will have different preferences so you will end up with a bag full to choose at

Yeah, I use Daiwa Sensor, it's only about a tenner a spool, but I do have to spool up a lot of reels - between me and my lads 6 sets of 3 to spool (plus a few spare spools).

The line has never let me down, so why pay double the price? BTW, I steer clear of the Daiwa Hyper Sensor, don't rate this at all.

I'm using cm90 at present - can't compare to the synchro XT but it does seem generally well behaved I find it fairly springy (wants to jump off the spool if slack) and it seems a pretty stretchy (when compared to the tech black I'm used to).

another vote for CM90, just does everything well, just wish they offer a few more colours.

CM 90 for me too, it's abrasion resistance is brilliant , sinks well, casts well, perfect for my weedy lake 👍

Another vote for Gardner Pro.
