How can you call a standard 3/8 bsf grub screw a snag bar convertor , and then go and price it at £4.99 for two.
I'm in engineering and have shown this to my colleagues. Two have gone home to change their wet trousers, four are bent over holding their stomachs or rolling around the floor, making funny noises, and another is asking for his mum
Carp tax is one thing, but this is taking it a bit far

Being stainless and a non metric may not be on the shelf at your local engineering supplies, but should still get them in a week for pence.
If they had been modified I'd understand.
The last time I saw something like this was when Solar bought out a tub of PVA packing nuggets. I can't remember whether the £9.99 was show price or shop price.
They weren't so commonly used for packing at the time, so it took a bit of time for word to get about on the forums. But at least you got a tub to keep all your pva stuff in.

I admit its cheeky but fi you get them post free its worth it as most places charge 3 quid for small items shipping
the packing nuggets you mentioned you have to be careful they make two that look identical, one will melt off your rig, the other you will reel in lol, both starch based

I am northern and was expecting a lot more than a fiver when I clicked on the post. There's loads of good examples of daft carp tax pricing, but this is not one of them.

I get his point it is pants down money if like me you know what they are and can go around to my local fixings and fasteners supplier and pick them up for pence but not everyone would know what to ask for or has a place like this they can go to so would have to rely on online purchasing.

I'm pretty sure that odds and sods like these are more hassle than they are worth for Jag. They probably only do them to keep people who have asked for them happy, I don't see a problem charging a premium for that.

Perhaps they should be. We've had far more problems with their service and items bought from Waitrose than Aldi.
Worse was a contaminated Christmas lunch, discovered on the morning in question.

Treated myself to a German Doner Kebab meal today at work £10.50. Would I buy this over my regular kebab on a weekly basis? Probably not? Was it far superior to my regular Keeebab? Oh damn, YESSSSS!!!!
Personally I don't see a problem with £5 for some grub screws. It's still a damn sight cheaper to their other snag converters so it's meeting the needs of customers who don't want to spend **** loads of wonga on gear but get the set up they want/need.

That sounds a good price for two grub screws and an Allen key, I went to Timpsons to get a key last year and if I recall it cost me about £7 not including grub screws.
Reading ALL pages
