They're definitely playing around with it, could get in late last night, and can get in intermittently on Chrome. But not every time!!

New updated look is more minimalistic for info but has a better range and easier to order bait. I pick up the phone, speak to someone and pick it up old style

Yes, I thought that. Surely a new website would be better if it provided more info on each bait. Having said that I always call up and discuss what I need and ask questions about the bait. The new website would be better if it reduced the need to do that. I'm glad that they still have the time for the personal touch, but not sure that would be possible if they get really busy. Can't see mainline doing that for every customer.

How much info do you need about a bait? TBH pretty much every manufacturers descriptions are the same -
nut bait: finest milled Tigernuts, bit of bird food, milk proteins and our secret blend of unique attractors
Red fishmeal : finest fish proteins, bit of bird food, milk proteins and our secret blend of unique attractors
Krill bait : finest krill, etc, etc, etc
ABS's bait have caught for years, so dont really need much explanation. Plus if I've had a question they've always answered the phone when I've called (and I couldn't be less local!)
Not a #sponsoredad lol

The bit about fine milled tiger nuts you won't find on too many nutmixes

There used to be a lot more mystery around Geoffs bait than a bit of a lack of info on his site, no website and the only way of getting hold of it was to meet one of his regional suppliers in the lake car park or call him for 4 weeks everyday in the vein hope he answered the phone. I wonder what ever happened to the peanut bait and the 'cons' mix he used to supply half the colne valley with?

Fine milled = dust 😉

As someone who has changed baits far too often over the years and prefers softer baits i think most websites miss a trick when it comes to describing the texture and firmness of their baits.
At the moment I'm in need of a new bait in shelflife form and have long had an interest in the ABS Malarky. I have read so much positive feedback about it but wondered if any one had used it fully preserved and if so how soft or indeed hard is the bait.
I think the new site is a big improvement over the old in most aspects.

Couple years ago I wanted a bag of shelf life to keep in the motor and went with malarkey. Very impressed. You wouldn't tell the difference between fresh or shelf life. Very soft

Appreciate your opinion, very helpful thanks.
I think i remember reading somewhere that the Malarky is quite a subtle smelling bait. Was that your experience with it if you can recall?

Yeah I'd agree with that. Tho it is still a fish meal so not that subtle

You could close your eyes, scroll down the page and select a bait and it would work. Unquestionably great baits from one of the best, most proven bait brains out there

I used to get Malarky from Blake's instead of direct from ABS too to be honest. They were just easier to deal with and would generally post out on a next day free of charge. They also sell loads of other stuff that was handy.
Geoff's baits are great, but unless you want to drive out to Sittingbourne, wait around for a van on the M25 or pay through the nose for hit and miss postal delivery Blake's was the smart option. Ended up dropping the malarkey for Blake's Red Fish Pro when they dropped the ABS stuff.
If the new website comes with slightly slicker service I'd be more than happy to go back to a ABS bait.

Only ever had one delivery problem with abs but was quickly sorted. The reason Blake's send out next day is because It comes straight out the freezer but with abs it comes straight from the drying racks. I know which one I'd rather use

And where do you put it when it arrives fresh from the drying rack?
By no means am I knocking ABS, it was just easier to get the same bait elsewhere.

I'm looking at getting a bait with some garlic in. Purely because the lakes house bait that I will be fishing is squid and garlic. Initially looked at the GNZ but now contemplating using the DGT as I have always liked tuna in a bait. Anyone any experience with either of these baits? Texture, taste, smell etc
Cheers lads

Have used the GNZ rolled by a third party, it's been great for me in shelf-life, catching from the off in January in freezing conditions, potent smell, it's all my car whiffs of!
Brown fish meal, soft in texture, the garlic is the overriding smell.

All the deliveries I've ever had from abs I've been given a delivery window the day before and been able to track that delivery live. I've never had a problem.

Would you suggest hard hookers? Is the garlic really over powering? Not sure I could deal with that tainting all my tackle and car haha

It's a soft bait so you may want some harder hook baits.
The garlic is the main smell followed by fish meal, it's probably because I leave my bait in the car why it smells so much.
Really good bait IMO.

I have known Geoff for many years and used his bait for 30 years, but i wish the range would stay a bit more staple. it used to be aminos/cream/black peppar but its bewildering now. I just ask him what he would go for. The bonus is that he can tweak and the range of hookbait choices are great.
I have always collected from Sandwich (1.5hrs away), its got a decent tackle shop attached to it and he is always good for some banter.

I have been reading so many positive things about ABS baits so decided to give them ago. I have just placed my first order. I'm going to give the hydro k ago. Iv been on sticky krill for the last couple of year but the two waters I'm on most anglers are using the krill so I thought a change was needed

It's a great bait mate. The amount of liquid in it and the leakage is mega put a couple in a glass over night and see how it looks in the morning 👍
