If you go to the search box and type Blake's you will get all posts for Blake's. There was quite a lengthy one from a few weeks ago, have a look at that. One of the forum members works there - keeperboy.

Yes, blakes are great, good boilies at decent price, excellent pop ups, the free ones I got wirh my order, stayed up for days, brilliant customer service/advice, and to top it all off fast delivery. like has been said, Keeperboy is the fella to speak to, he's very knowledgeable and helpful.

I believe they now have John Llewellyn onboard which for anyone in the know is pretty big news imo.
Do ABS still roll their baits ?

I no longer work for Blake's lads. I just want to make it clear that I did design all of the baits for Peter for the last 6 years or so but like many things in the bait industry it didn't end well. I wish them all the best for the future but it's time to concentrate on my own brand now.

Thanks mate. The future certainly looks brighter today. I will still be around the forum to offer any help to those who need info on bait in general.

I will make this the last post on the Blake's thread as it isn't fair to hijack it. I will let my fellow forum members know of my new beginnings very soon if the forum allow it. I watched the brand grow from just another company who sold abs baits into something much bigger. Blake's outgrew several buildings and the team we had on board were phenomenal anglers. The catch reports we posted when other brands were posting old photos told me that we had some really good products. I'm not there now to keep an eye on that attention to detail or make sure my baits are made exactly how they should be but I have stayed friends with the owners son Tim, so I may look back and see how it rolls for them now. It was my whole life for 6 years and it was an interesting turn around. With anything in life if you do things properly and to the best of your ability they generally repay you. It is unlikely that I will ever speak to the owner ever again and I guess the brand will change now. But you guys will be the ones to see what happens next. The team of lads I sort of hand picked have departed but I believe Nigel Sharp has stayed. Me and Nigel are good mates and he's a brilliant angler who I wish all the best. One door closes another one opens and once again I'm totally motivated with some really good ideas flowing once again!

So is John Lewellyn working for Blake's now? I'd be very interested to see what happens with their baits with him involved. Always get very good service from Blake's, that combined with JWs bait knowledge could be great.

Pidge sticking with you on the new venture? Best of luck with it, its nice to see people still sticking with the HNV principle.

But the HNV theory dont make you Money.. And anyway the Carp like bread... Not that I'm saying theres anymore of a wheat content in Blake's baits than any others mind..
Good luck with your new venture Keeperboy..

Krinella was good for me. Maple nut is a reliable option as well.

I've been a big fan of the Red Fish Pro since it came out. Also really rate the powerlifter pop ups.
Best of luck, Gav. The ProHNV you created with Pidge was a blindingly good bait that did me proud on several occasions. I will keep a look out for your new venture and hope all goes well in the future. And remember...
