Looking at moving onto these this year how's everyone been getting o with them

They are a very good hook,the only issue I have had is the points turning over on them.Its not happened when I have had a fish but when the point has hit debris on the lake bed.I use them for my slip d rig and ronnies,not lost a fish on them so far

when they first came out I was really excited to give these ago as I tend to favour the slip d and this hook pattern is perfect for that I believe , however they are very thin and are very soft . after fishing over very hard gravel I had two hook points turn over (although i had sharpened them so I took this with a pinch off salt) new hooks on and out it went. had a take and lost the fish about 10 yards from the bank the hook (size 4) completely opened up so with that they were all put in the bin. shame as I really liked the look but just no confidence in them now shame as all the other esp hooks i have used seem solid.

Not had one open and I have had fish in some really weedy conditions,hope I have not just tempted fate

Been using them since last May...fish a large weedy pit...used with blow back rigs, nice and sharp, not had any open up... My catch rates have improved big time and its the only thing I changed this past year... Due to them being super sharp... Only lost a couple to hook pulls towards the end of the fight...

Snowman rigs these will be used thy look a big hook What's everyone using ?

I also really like them, again on my slip d I really rate them not had any open out on me either

I've been using them back end of last year, sharpened in sizes 4 and 5 on a spinner/ronnie type set-up over dirtier substrates. Of 8 bites all were landed. No complaints so far.

Yes I always use a snowman presentation... Either 16mm or 18mm bottom baits with a 12 or 14mm pop up... Size 4 trig hammer I use...

Bought a pack,took them to France to try on one rod, first 3 fish all fell off so in the bin they went and back to the Korda longshanks I'd been using and back to landing every bite

I like the trig hammer and have success on a slip-d or German rig. The new RM Ape-x hook range seems to have the same/similar pattern in 2 different wire gauges.

I've used them in size 5 & 6, I had two bites on them last year, both landed but on both occasions they had opened slightly.

I've still got them in my tackle box but I've put a different longshank hook on recently as I really don't want to be losing any fish on the water I'm fishing at the moment.

Has anyone used the King of the Pond version. Slightly more of a curved profile but again very sharp 👍🏻

I tried, I like the pattern but they were almost blunt after 24 hours in the water..
It rarely happens using other hooks.

Love the barbed trig hammers not lost a fish on them yet (touch wood) but lost a few on the barbless ones. I have found the hooks to be slightly bouncy where an heavy battle might cause the hook to open out a bit. So been using the fox medium curves when fishing in weed

Brilliant hooks , been using them since release quickly becoming one of my favourite patterns 👍 razor sharp from pack , sharpen up brilliantly if need to I've got no complaints 👍

Yeh for any trig Hammer users, king of the pond do a similar pattern and looking at their other hooks I believe these may be the exact same design as angling iron, ib hooks and carp spirit. They all come from the same place I've recently discovered.

A number of tackle brands all source their gear from the same factories.

Hooks are no different.

Drennan/ESP I'm positive have their own factory, and own Kamasan.
I haven't used ESP hooks for a few years, but they hold their point and I would land numbers of fish on one hook. They didn't need binning after every take.

Agree, trig hammers are still decent hooks after 3 or 4 fish and sharpen up well with a stone if ness

Best hooks I've ever used tbh use these for most my fishing.

I believe the best hook I've ever used was the ESP big T hook like below you could land multiple fish on them.shame they stopped making them 🥲 and I'm down to my last packet

The raptor big T. What a hook. Great for free lining a chunk of bread. Like you said they'd just last so long.
