Anyone got the new mini micron yet? Thinking of getting a set for days etc so don't need a receiver. Feedback on them seems limited as they are new but any experiences of them would be helpful.

"as crap as the originals " the original mini micron has legendary longevity. They were as basic as they came and just went on and on. Ive owned several sets and have never suffered a single issue with them nor have I heard of any issues with the original ?

If the new version is half what the original was, there be pretty good.

Yes as crap as the original ones. I had a set that used to scream off for no reason at all, and fox customer service didn't want to know

I have a set of the originals that are still going strong. Never had a problem with them.

Originals were super reliable !!

No not a joke. My original mini microns screamed off for no reason whatsoever on numerous occasions, all 3 not just one alarm. Really not good, especially when you are fishing a har17acre pit with only 12 fish in

Ah... the original Fox mini microns, I seem to remember most were spot on, but a small dodgy batch came into the UK with a certain fault, involving a T1 diode on the circuit board, I believe, what happened was that they soaked up any moisture inside the buzzer case like a sponge and dissolved itself, and caused all sorts of issues, including screaming runs, and the latching red led that never turned off

I use plenty of nash gear chap, it's only the latest versions of their hooks I don't like

The originals were brilliant,,had them on a days set up for years. The battery's were crap, size wise

Original ones were great. I had a set for nearly 10 yrs and never missed a beat. About the only fox item I have praise for

For me fox alarms are the best going

I've had a few sets and they have never really let me down. I had some RXs where the wires went brittle and I snapped them, currently using 4 x STRs

I had one set of delks, sold, cheap plastic bling for me

I had a set of the originals, in fact I still have one of them (I gave two to a youngster who was starting out) as a back up. They never missed a beat.

I saw the new ones the other day, they look very good, nice and small and neat, If I didn't have a set of Nevilles that I recently had refurbed I would probably buy a set.

I've got a set of two for the canal, and they're incredible for £30!

Well that escalated quickly! It seems they're too new for a proper review of them, I'll likely just get a set as they seem ideal for what I want. Not usually a fan of Fox gear, I just hope there's no teething problems with this new model as they seem the right size and price.

It's nothing to do with being a delkim fan. I had a set, they were crap, I got rid of them. This was all before I was using delkims. They were my first set of alarms made by anyone other than optonics. Sold them and got bitech vipers

I never had a Sounder with them, man they were loud and very over sensitive. Bloody good alarms for predator fishing though

Vipers were the first set I ever owned and coupled them with a KJB sounder
The threads on the vipers striped as they were plastic
So then bought optonics

How did they register bites. Don't think they were rollers but can't remember what they were.

It was a strange system, some sort of pendulam thing which rocked back and forth iirc. If you leant them backwards slightly you could reduce the sensitivity a tiny bit
