Decided on a day session and took just my regular brolly which in a monsoon just ain't cutting it any more.
So I'm after some recommendations on a Brollie system that is real quick to put up and take down which I can use for a quick day session,

Go for a Tempest mate.
I had to buy the Tempest Brolly for the same reason. Does the job perfectly.

tempest brolly for me
was fishing with 3 friends at the weekend and the heavens opened as we were setting up. My shelter was up and ready within seconds, whereas their gear got soaked while battling away with their bivvies. All 3 are now looking at purchasing one

Tempest brolly, unbelievably quick setup and pack and offers loads of versatility with the add on options available separately.
Or if you wanted a traditional brolly, a good mate raves about the aqua fast and light

Thats another vote for the tempest from me, goes up in seconds, especially without a ground sheet and front.

Time isn't the biggest issue for me. Most of the time -instead of pouring rain- observing, baiting and rods out first.
Then it doesn't matter if it takes 30 seconds, or 3 minutes to put the shelter up.
Most of the time i use my ESP Lo-pro, for nights an Atom or Aqua Mk1.

I suppose it depends where you are fishing, the tempest is a big shelter or be it light and quick to put up. If it's a lake with small swims where you are mobile I'd say a fox specialist type brolly is better. The brollys also probably give you better vision of the lake.

Having fished under a Brolly for years (Trakker 60”), i recently bought a tempest advanced as the Brolly was on its last legs- mega impressed with it, goes up in seconds (literally) and the packdown is pretty close to that- won't go wrong with one bud

It's not always about the time but it does if it's pouring down fiddling around with storm poles is a pain trakker tempest v2 is the best the trouble with the hide it's got the word Nash on it

It's not the time it's the mess about factor.
Then when the weather wind and rain changes direction you have to reposition the brolly to keep dry.
I have done hundreds of nights under various ovals and would not use one again after owning a tempest.

I do own a Tempest
and I can have my smaller footprint brolly system up nearly as fast
I really dont see the obsession with getting a shelter up in record time only to spend the next god knows how many hours sat on a chair or bed ?????

If you do away with the tension strap the footprint of the TB can be as you chose. Tight at the back and high at the front or wide and low. Have to admit I was all about the old ovals, thought the newfangled tempest was a waste of money until curiosity got the better of me.
Now I love it.
I'm sure the Nash one is horses for courses, it just wasn't out a few years ago.

I have a fox specialist 45" brolly and a v1 tempest brolly, the tempest is much better for use with a chair due to the headroom. In the brolly you can't have the chair central, due to the centre pole/boss even with the space saver frame system. I usually have the chair sideways in the brolly if it's raining, otherwise my legs stick out.
I only really use the brolly when I have to carry the kit rather than use a barrow, it just balances the quiver better than the shorter tempest brolly.

If you move multiple times a day it soon becomes a chore. Been on a lake since 5.30 this morning and on the second swim now, had the tempest up twice for showers and then pack it down again so I don't get too comfortable 👍

Went and had a look at the Tempest V2, T100 Brolly,Sonik AXS bivvy, AXS brolly and the Fox EOS brolly all set up and went for the Sonik AXS Bivvy to use as a day shelter without the front and groundsheet.
The V2 was so tiny it was fit for Warwick Davis, couldnt justify the price of the 100T with a set of poles just for day sessions,Axs brolly wasnt nearly as good a quality as the axs bivvy, and didnt like the Fox bivvy.
I know i was after a brolly and i bought the bivvy but stripped back it will do what i need it to fo for a 12 hr session, and i can fall back on my current bivvy Avid HQ dual layer for longer sessions and my Starbaits QG Luge for France.

Just had spook army some videos of the AXS. Looks like a decent bit of kit at a very affordable price!!

In comparison the V2 is way smaller and with the AXS theres no need to Limbo under the peak just to get in it.
Why people think the v2 is the proverbial dogs danglies is beyond me.

Spent the weekend under my v1. It's a bit battered and bruised so will be replacing it sometime soon.
I like to have my bedchair legs extended which reduces the headroom and ease of getting in/out. I also think the storage space between the bedchair and back is a waste, would much prefer it at the front. I'd also like vents.
I'm going to try and find an ASX local to go and have a look at ;-)

mart for whats its worth. this is the 100t with a wideboy legs extended. ive dropped the height by pegging
a few cm wider. only really gives more space left and right at the front. just wanted to try it out before being bankside.
