I know the guys have spent hours and hours getting it ready with all new product shots, info and videos to watch. With more new content set to be added regularly.
So make a cup of tea, be sure you use a suitably dirty authentic Carpy tea spoon, and enjoy.
I have it on good authority that jag will not be suing the government for the use of the word “lockdown”

I still use the old style bank sticks. In fact some of mine are so old now they don't even have the new style points on them and I use a grey pod with black sticks. I don't think it really matters. All the stuff is well made so it doesn't bother me.

I started my JAG fetish with the original point style grey stuff and have stuck with it, picked up quite a bit 2nd hand now and have quite a collection, too far gone to bin it all off just to get the black or the newer design

I don't think there's any need to bin any of it off. They grey is still unbelievably popular and holds it second value really well. Just like the solar stainless of old, I think if someone listed good quality grey stuff on eBay then I think they'd get a decent price for it.

People choose to spend their money on whatever they like. Just because it's not your thing, doesn't make them a mug. I personally wouldn't pay £1000s on biasia reels and rods etc, but plenty do. I don't look at them people as mugs.
The camera stick has proved to be a very good seller. In fact the initial production run sold out so quickly that they had to produce more. It suits anglers who want to be mobile so don't want to carry a bulky tripod, or fish alone a lot and want a quick camera set up.
I'm not personally into photography. But I know it's been a big seller for guys who are using cameras worth hundreds of pounds, as there's no danger of it getting blown over or kicked over and their expensive lenses hitting the gravel. So they see £65 to protect an expensive camera as good valve. Which sort of comes back to my original point. I'd never spend hundreds on a camera to go fishing but I don't think those that do are mugs. Horses for courses and all that.

But seriously a poxy camera stick 🤷♂️ Don't think anyone can really change my mind on that. When you talk about rods reels etc that's completely different to the uses of a overpriced stick that does nothing different to one for a tenner

If you can find me a bank stick with a locking mechanism and a point as good as an excavator, and as light weight, with a bubble level and Tommy bar for a tenner then let me know where, cos I'll have a few please. They sound fantastic value.

Does polite black cost more to produce than the stainless, looking at excavator sticks and stainless is a little cheaper.

I just use a cygnet storm pole, screw thread and Tommy bar included, does the job
I'd like to see an adjustable ball head at that price, trying to keep the stick dead level with loads of gravel/flint/bricks in the ground would do my nut in, I also want to be able to change the angle for scenics. Yeh I could buy a ball head for a fiver that would fit the thread but at that price it should come with one imo. I'd also have preferred an arca Swiss type qr mount.
If it had a mounting plate that would take a proper gimbal head and made it longer it may be popular with wildlife photographers, a few have stopped to ask about my setup when I've fished the royal Park lakes

But the pro light coating is super tough, not just a cheapo coating, this is applied by a specialist company who can do it to a level that jag say is acceptable, not just a local plating company. So I'd guess this extra process and the cost of the carriage etc is probably what gives the slight price increase.

I guess if there was enough requests for camera adapters then in the future they might produce a range of accessories for the stick. I've thought with so many people now using smart phones that a good quality universal phone holder might be a good product to add to the range. I know you can buy cheapo plastic holders off of eBay for a few quid, buy my handset cost a thousand pound to replace so I'd rather have something a bit more substantial to hold it.

The bits I'd need on it to justify the cost wouldn't be possible for an engineering firm like jag to produce economically I'd imagine. I would like an excavator point that'll fit to my 3leggedthing
The Gardner slr widget is good, but not really up to what I want from it. Really good for mounting flash guns on a bankstick though

The European anglers love them! I've got to admit that I was more than a little sceptical myself. It's a BIG pod. But we had interest in them on the stand at the NAS after people saw one set up on the Shimano stand. It's very much built for a specific market and no way would it ever be a big seller, but take it from me guys want them. They do sell.
It seems to me from talking to the guys who go to zwolle each year that the European anglers used to not be all the fussy about gear. They used to be happy using cheap rods, cheap bait, cheap bank ware etc. But over the last few years there's been a big shift in attitudes and the European guys now are really catching up with the UK market. Where as it used to be only the real hardcore guys that wanted the best, now average anglers are beginning to see the benefits that better rods, reels, bank ware and bait can have. And these guys are prepared to spend big to get it. Look at the amount of UK based manufacturers who go all over Europe to shows now. I know one of the korda guys, so at NAS I popped along to have a catch up, only to be told oh no here's not here this weekend, he's at a show in Russia! Russia ffs. I think Dave Levy said Ridgemonkey were planning on attending fifteen European shows this year. Obviously not now.
Granted I can't see many uk tackle shops holding a big stock of them! Might be a touch over gunned for your local runs water.

I have the first JAG stainless they produced (pre-316). it is still like new in spite of the Excavators being screwed into stony banks dozens and dozens of times.
There are loads of OK cheaper options out there, and for many people the cheaper option might be the better choice
It's not cheap but it's made in the U.K, does the job brilliantly and is built to last.

Dinsmores PowerPoint bankstick,chunky ,super lightweight, with a extremely durable screw in point.. Cost under a fiver..
Gardner camera adaptor,so old,forgot how much it was,but cheap....
A £1.99 ,smartphone camera adaptor from eBay..
Can use the above system with a four thirds mirror less DSLR, or smartphone..you don't need to use a ball swivel adaptation for 99% of horizontal plane self takes,just sensible positioning before hand,I don't use the small fluid tripod anymore.., bulky compared to a single Dinsmore 18inch bankstick..
There's always a way around a problem,one doesn't have to spend a lot...👍

Couldnt agree more mate... my god does it last its simply the best in my veiw...never by cheap stainless or any of the other tat out there... the screws adonise up and go white with the jag stuff i got 10 years ago the buzzer bars and about 10 banksticks are still going strong with no maintenance in that time.
