Carp company sell a nodd oil. Very much doubt it’s the same as the original though… I’ve heard people say it’s just CLO but that isn’t my recollection of it

With a bit of thought you could mix up something as good or better yourself. Depending on the basemix and the time of year.

Yep me too.
From google search

The original Nodd Oil was a human-grade, winterised bulk marine fish oil originally sourced from Seven Seas and popularized in the late 1980s by Premier Baits as a cold-weather carp fishing additive

Nodd Oil was a human-grade, 'winterised' fish oil, with a listed fatty acid content of 28%, whereas their nice quality Salmon oil was listed with a slightly lower fatty acid content of 20%.

The original fish feed inducing oil only had a listed fatty acid content of 3%, which did coagulate in cooler water & air temps - one of my friends who used a little FF to 'top up ' his Biomaster reel to lessen a squeak early on a reasonably mild winter afternoon, it was such fun watching him try to wind in on the following frosty morning 😂

I was using it in a bird food bait around 1990, from memory it was fairly expensive so we dropped it for the Fish Feed oil because of cost and we were heaving the bait in during summer and thought it unnecessary. Great days.

You were correct.
NODD Oil was £11.00 per 500ml bottle
Fish Feed oil was £5.50 per 500ml

interestingly of the time, this Premier baits advert I've just looked at from 1991, their Pure Salmon oil & Scottish Mc Salmon oil was slightly MORE expensive than the NODD Oil at £12.00 per 500ml.

Why not give Geoff a call at ABS. If anyone knows if there's anything out there, he will...
