Just seen the announcement that Scott is joining the Nash Team, surprised he left TA! Will be interesting to see some of the content in the future.
To cover that cost could be why they closed the bait company 😂😂

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that culling sponsored anglers to keep the bait comapny going that little bit longer would be preserving the heritage of the company just that little bit more.
I get they're planning for the future, and most of the guys there are younger and steering things for the future, but who are Nash if they don't trade on their past... and one of the few who actually have a link to the distant past........just another company.

Are there any people out there who are a bit like me and take no notice of this type of stuff.
I've never heard of Scott Lloyd so it means nothing to me.
I'm not saying that others shouldn't take an interest, I'm just curious whether there are others like me.

I like the video content from some of these sponsored anglers but it has absolutely no influence on my buying habits.
Im old enough to have seen things come and go so I can make my own decisions based on experience.

Not normally one for a moan..... but....
..... I always end up thinking..... when you are watching all these guys having so many nights on th3 bank, so much gear, so much bait, a fresh hook a cast.... so many adventures, so many laughs with all the camera crews etc...
Literally 100's of lads having massive funded trips and completely unreletable angling lives with more nights on the bank than off it... all in the name of content....
Someone is paying for that
That extra £2 a pack of hooks.... £5er for 10 micro ring swivels... £6 for rig tubing.... £1800 a barrow... £1000 odd a bivvy...
The odd angling legend or hauler maybe.... but nowadays we seem to be paying crazy prices fpe 100's of them to be at it.

No doubt Scotts capable and puts effort in...
I recall one very big headed W Mids A hole that thought he was the bizzo as he was time banditing it on a few circuit waters, catching a few which then courted the sponsors so he did not have to do a real job until the bubble bursts and they do away with them until the next fred bloggs comes along and gives us a distorted vision of what carping is.
I give zero sh*tes to most of their captures as capable angler with time =fish.
Give me the working man with limited time any day -real angling!

I don't know a soul that used Nash bait, the only time I did was probably around 25 years ago and that was their whiskey baits.
Things move on and others just remain in the past. Richworth and Nutrabaits spring to mind

Scott has a massive following among younger carpers and is good at selling companies gear; Nash will make sales off the back of Scott.
Social media does drive sales and there is a generation of anglers influenced massively by it.
One of my mates was approached by Nash to see if he wanted to get on board with them and it was having to use Nash Bait that stopped him; ironically Nash Bait going might help Nash get a few more on board who can help them sell gear to the social media following masses.

Scott seems like a really sound chap to me and is a seriously good angler.
Brave of him to join Nash though if business is as bad as it seems.
