Most of mybfishing these dqys consists of shorter daysessions, usually 4-5:hours.
That said, I have my gear in the monstrous Carp Porter holdall, which means I am cartung way toi much stuff, needing the barrow for short half day sessiins, which quite frankly, is a bit ridiculous.
So I am after a good day session bag, to carry enoughbstuff and no more than I really need.
My shortlist at the moment is ESP Quickdraw, Trakker NXG Searcher, Gardner Specialist Rucksack and maybe Korda 30 Litre ruck.
Any pros and cons, or alternative suggestions would be welcome.
As always, living in the U.S. , I have to buy sight unseen , as there's no carp gear abailable locally.

I've recently upgraded to the speero compact modular rucksack, haven't done a long walk with it yet, but quality feels good.

ESP quickdraw is pretty big (good rucksack though), if need smaller just for days have a look at Drennan specialist luggage. They do a rucksack and a roving bag. Speero luggage also quality

I have the Drennan rucksack for my day fishing and it's ideal. Big enough to get all my gear and a flask in but not too big to be bulky or difficult to carry

I now use the Drennan also. tried a few others along the way and found this the most versatile with plenty of storage available in 30ltr and 40ltr. comfortable enough and has stood the test of time.

Drennan Specialist 40l is comfy and carries a lot - you can also clip the specific Specialist quickdraw mat to it (the ESP quickdraw mat has different sized clips so won't connect). . .I also have the 20l Specialist Roving bag; use this for floater fishing / holiday fishing / trotting for barbel etc

The dutch army oack is around $65 here, so not much difference to the likes of Drennan e5c.
Thanks tor the replies, I think I'm now leaning towards the Drenna 30 L.
I see it matches the Specialist Compact mat, but I'm wondering if the Drennan version of the Quickdraw maat will also clip to the 30 L ?

Not a rucksack but i use the Trakker NXG Compact Carryall for day sessions.

The Drennan Specimen Unhooking Mat is the same size / construction as the ESP Quickdraw Compact (albeit its green not camo) however the clips are a different size so only the Drennan mats (including the Specialist Compact which is the smallest/simple roll up) will clip to the Drennan 20l Roving /30l & 40l rucksacks . . .

I use old Version of korum roving kit. The Rucksack got small chair strapped to it and it fit everything i need for very short or day Session.

One for barbel and one for the carp. I like a rucky with a wide base so it doesn't want to flop over, particularly important on the river banks.
If I'm doing a evening and short night just on my chair under a brolly I take flask and butties.
If I'm doing a 2-3 day sesh the other clutter goes in a large holdall, and bedchair and other stuff goes on the barrow.
