I've been using an aqua black series ruck sack for a few years and it's been OK.

The main compartment a little shallow/small and could do with a few more pockets on the outside. The rucksack spends more time on my back than a barrow too and the corners are starting to dig in now which makes it uncomfortable.

So what decent rucksacks are there out there for wearing on my back probably needs to be around 60l so the small stalker ones won't do it for me.

Korda luggage is very good indeed well made and plenty of storage.Speero rucksacks are also very well made and comfy on your back

Thanks, I've stumbled across 'Carper Tackle' who have a 50l rucky for 35 quid. Anyone got any experience of these or the brand?

Happy to spend money, but if I can avoid carp tax then that would be a winner

I've got a few things from Carper tackle you'll be pleasantly surprised ..

Speedflex pop up mat,brilliant
Speedflex pop up bivvy . ....and winter skin,fits other makes like the fox 🦊 version..

Youtube have The Caravan Carpers and others doing reviews on the rucksack.

I bought one going on the images online, when it arrived it's basically just a camo day sack, no padding, no 2 way zips etc To be fair it did feel comfy on the back but did 2 sessions and has been relegated to the back of the cupboard

Thanks, yes I did notice it doesn't have double zips which doesn't matter so much, but a decent set of shoulder straps and padding is important.

So far, I'm down to the Korda 60, Solar SP large or speero modular compact with a few extras to clip on.

Any others worth considering, is Cotswold worth a look or anything from the newer carp brands?

the guy at Carper tackle designed all the Korda Luggage

The 5.11 rush 72 is a very comfortable backpack if you do not use a barrow often. Bit pricey but it's by far the most comfortable rucksack I've used.

The smaller snugpak rucksacks (sleeka) are brilliant as well, might be a-bit small for you though.

The larger Speero rucksack for a fishing brand is pretty comfortable to carry as well, just not for really long walks.

Tbh I have the Korda kamo luggage it is top quality zips glide along thick material also light but not cheap
I've had speero again top quality but all there luggage is a bit bulky I didn't find the compact rucksack very comfortable
As I've said before the most comfortable rucksack I've had is one you probably wouldn't want is the drennan specialist 40ltr
And as said the most uncomfortable is the Cotswold just looked carper tackle rucksack reminds me of the cult tackle luggage

If the one from carp tackle had better straps it would be a no brainer. If anyone that has one sees this, can they say how good/bad are they?

Carplife looks very much like the Korda for the same money.

Speero building it up with clipons does make it a good idea, but probably makes it the same price as the big Solar one.
