Us old gits always harp on about how hard we had it in days gone by.

If you fished today with the blunt hooks,crap bait and poor rigs,we wouldn't catch much.
Using Diablo catapults to fire out poor sugary balls to passify our efforts was futile.
Today's carpers pay lots of money and spend more time than most of us.
Apart from the odd angler on the dole,we raced to the lake on a Friday.
Now I think it's busy 24/7,so catching is tougher,though in heavier stocked.
Pot noodles and boil in the bags made our sessions doable.
But as Dave coaches said.
It was never gunna last but “it was a blast “

Spring has sprung Kenniff, can't change the way things are but you can enjoy them, things so much easier these days, fill your boots.

I'm a Pot noodle and tinned curry with boiled in the bag rice kinda guy. Nowt better than a cuppa soup on a cold day 👍

I admit I've been sucked into some fads, but desperately try to keep it real and old school 😉. And I have no idea how to measure a wrap!

I was rather partial to those Birdseye boil in the bag stew & dumplings....could just go one now but I bet they're not the same. Agree re the cuppa soup, liked my cheddars biscuits to, and maybe a club.
