Good afternoon my name is Andy long time member, first time poster.
I am looking for a brolly/bivvy, only fish day sessions. I am looking for something that is easy to put up and take apart as I suffer with arthritis in my wrists. I have a jrc defender 1 man at the moment but really struggle to take poles apart. I ordered a daiwa mission overnight plus brolly which I didn't find any easier to put up or take apart. I was looking at the sonik axs V2 bivvy has anyone got any recommendations for me, not looking to spend a fortune I am 6ft 5ins tall so needs to be a good height.

Look at a Nash Titan Hide XL decent head height on them

I would assume that a brolly will be far easier than a bivvy to set with arthritis as all bivvies,.including the Frontier, Tempest, Hide and Spiders all require poles being joined and taken apart

What about the solar quick up mk2? Not cheap, or light, but could be suitable for you.
Big overwrap available to make it 2 man if needed. I haven't got one, but would be tempted if the trakker gets eaten by rats. Sorry, just realised you're only doing short sessions so this may be overkill for you're requirements .

If you're just using it for days I'd recommend a brolly. I've got a fox specialist that I think is great. Really well made and I even do summer nights under it. If you can't find one then the korum river brolly looks similar. They also do one called the graphite brolly shelter that looks good.

...and both my Titan Hides (normal and XL) are very tough to get the front ends to hook onto. I always used to worry about my hand slipping and a finger nail being whipped off

I got a fox 60" brolly after looking around. Cost about £80
The coverage is brilliant, can be used.with centre poles or storm poles and fits in a quiver but is quite heavy. If weight isn't much of a concern then it's worth having a look
