I'm going to start fishing a new lake next year which is days only and while you can park close it's impossible to push a barrow around. I'm fairly minimalist kit wise anyway but need to tweak the set up for carrying everything.
A rucksack needed obviously, but any advice on rod/net/brolly carrying? Some sort of quiver or just get a mat that folds in half and chuck everything in there with rods in sleeves?
Also recommendations for nets with handles that break down smaller? Think I'll have a dedicated set of rods/reels/net for this style of fishing. Then 'normal' kit can stay on the barrow and I just grab the rucksack no matter where I'm fishing.

If you'll consider telescopic might be worth having a look at the Korum Opportunist Xtend handle or those of a similar design. I bought both versions for Perch fishing but they were recommended on here for Carp and use on the rivers for Barbel etc. You'll probably find more results searching extending predator net handles. They're quite popular sea fishing off the rocks too, iirc Tronix Pro do 1 too. There's a chap on youtube who's bought them from China for next to nothing, sub £10 delieverd.

thanks, hadn't though of telescopic but not a bad idea and can use on river for barbel fishing also.

I've got to admit I was sceptical about their strength. There's a Korum video showing a chap trying to bend it over his knees, I thought yeah, but it really is that strong. See, you can teach a old dog new tricks

The Korum Roving kit is good, though the double rod sleeve would be tight with big pits. The chair clips onto the rucksack, the sleeve has a pocket at the bottom to slip banksticks/landing net handle/brolly in and I use a few velcro straps from Amazon (hugely useful for allsorts of stuff) to secure them for carrying.
You'll get a 6' handle on there as the sleeve is for 12' rods, but I use a Greys 3 piece carbon takeapart handle anyway.
I clip my mat to the rucksack or chair with a caribiner as well.

I've been around the houses with this and pretty much have everything sorted - I've got 2 sets of rods depending on how roving I am:
Wychwood mlt 2 piece 2.75 9ft or fox 2.25tc 2 piece 12ft
Ss2600's - They're wobbly and there are much smoother/modern reels out there but imo no better clutch
TA tip tops n reel wraps
2 piece 6ft Harrison net handle for 9ft rods or 1 piece 6ft with the fox's. Matrix block/arms/mesh - cheaper ones are available but IMO, are soft and floppy so worth the expense.
60" Fox brolly - heavy but quick up and down for when you move and loads of space under it with a couple of storm poles a bed should fit
All strapped to a TA quiver in one hand, chair in the other
Cotswold Aquarius roll up mat, pricey but folds almost flat and straps to the rucky
My biggest piece of advice would be don't waste your time with a small rucky, stick with a good sized one - air doesn't weigh anything and then there's always space for (in winter) a extra food, gas, stove, layers or waterproofs 👍.

I thought small immediately for mobile, take a look after the Drennan Super Specialist Twistlock handles if 6' is o.k, they're smaller than that in all sizes. I bought 2 of the big ones on Gerrys rec a fair few years ago, been fab

2 rods and net in unhooking mat plus throwing stick. Fortis brolly if expecting a drizzle, korum if heavy rain due.
Rucksack, small tackle box, kilo bait, front bank stick and buzz bar, luggage scales, bird scarer torch.
Lightweight chair.
That's it. No stove or cooking gear.

I've had a YAC stalker, a full Dymag Mobile System and a couple of Scopes over the years and honestly if I was planning on fishing how you are I'd just make some velcro straps to hold my rods and landing net together and use some of my normal 12ft rods. I'd only carry a brolly to the lake if there was a reasonable chance of rain, in which case I'd probably use a bog standard quiver.
