Hi,just out of a matter of interest how do you spool up with the stuff.
Have heard a couple of varying ways of doing it on video.
Now we have stand in a slim tub so it's coming off from the underneath or some say lay it flat so it's coming off with the label up🤷♂️🤷♂️.
What's your thoughts

spool it anyway you want, go to a field and wall your lines out and reel them in..

Bivvy peg through the spool into my lawn. You can soak the spool first if you want to. Works for me.

Have tried that before in the past,works in principal but it's a nightmare as the line whisps up on itself to the point where it is a right mess

That exactly how I loaded mine on. It's all twisted horribly and the line itself feels rough as a bag of spanners.

This is what I'm saying mate,how can there be various ways of spooling up.surely it all comes off the drum the same way in production.
Probably all brands are produced in the same factory

ive spooled up my emblem 45s and shimano 5500 xtd recently and done one set spool in water coming straight off and the other set I done spool in water with a lead on it coming off the spool the direction the reel winds in.
neither produced bad line twist, however I always walk my lines out over a field and reel in through a damp cloth under pressure, line us sliky smooth on the reel on both sets

I do it the ESP way - with exactly the same small tupperware cereal dispenser. Usually leave it to soak for a hour prior in warm water and a drop of washing up liquid . . .always reel under tension with an old towel around the line/rod below the butt ring - never had twist issues

I think the key part is tension, having spooled up last week for the second time with Syncro XT, I found the best way was to have the spool on it's side (like a bike wheel) spinning feely with something acting as an axle. As you look at the spool the sticker was on the left side and I wound it on with reasonable tension. This is essentially the way ESP recommend in the YouTube video.
I tried a few different ways, but this was the best. I do agree that this line does seem to be tricky to load, although it's a very good line.

Precisely how I did it (and how I do all my lines) and the XT is awful. All I can think of is that the batches vary, as I've never had any other lines in that state. Not like it was just on one reel either, all 3 are the same. And I've got 5 more of those reels with different lines on and had zero issues with those so it's not the reels either.

I have used xt since it first got released and have never had an issue,that was until the last spool I did at the start of the year.This time I had the line come off the spool in the water which seemed to bunch up and knotted,it felt like it had been spooled up loosely.You could move the line about on the main spool and it would bunch up,i was hoping this was a one off as I love the line when it's on and used a couple of times

Well I have a new spool being delivered so will see how we get on,if I struggle with it then I won't be using it again.
Then starts the pain of finding another mono which ticks all the boxes

You have to spool Syncro upright due to the design of the spool - it has a little notch in it and as you get to about midway (this is with the spool flat\horizontal), it starts catching and gives you all kinds of trouble.
I spool it upright in a Cereal container and it's fine.
I compared it flat anti clockwise and upright, pulled the line off, and coudn't tell much difference.
Flat \ clockwise was a different matter entirely.
