The lake where I'm currently fishing has a generous amount of overhanging willows. The owner of the lake is liking the ‘natural look' which is fine of course, but even kneeling down to cast, I'm still struggling with my 12ft rods. Does anyone have any recommendations please for a couple of 9ft rods. The longest cast needed is only 50m or so and the fish aren't particularly big, the best caught by anyone being maybe 24lb or so up to now. I'm fairly new to Carp fishing and so I wanted to make sure I get something suitable regarding the test curve. Mine are 3lb TC but are too much really for what I'm using them for.

Got a set of 9 foot 2.75lb scopes. I'm as far as you can get from a Nash fan, but i really rate these. Definitely wouldn't pay new price for them, got mine second hand but they have a nice bend on them even with low double figure fish.

I'd be looking at a 10ft barbel rod with a 2lb test curve for that situation (not a quiver rod). Don't think you'd drop on a 9ft version with a similar test curve.
Not sure who makes these though, but I'm certain there will be some available in the marketplace.

I know they're not the most desirable rods in the carp fraternity, but i bought a pair of Sonik Xtractor cork 9fts in 3.25lb for £39 each from AD as my caravan / stalking setup and i'm very pleased with them.
They look nice, can punch a pva bag as far as i'll ever need them to, and at that price they're an absolute bargain.

I use the older 9ft scope 2.75lb and like someone else got them 2nd hand and love them. We have a couple of lakes on our club ticket that are small but have decent fish to 37lb. A lot of guys are using Sonik extractors and to be fair are a cracking rod for the money and cheap as chips. I would stay clear of their reels but. Too many ended up in the bin but as rods go their solid. Majority go for the 3lb version

I've got a set of Sonik Xtractors. Had them since they came out.
Never had any issues. Even took them to France. Again, had no issues.
They're not to everyones liking but i think they're great.
