Has anyone used one of these? CF-X baiting poles 12m or 18m?
If so what do think? Any pro's/cons of it being telescopic.
Was looking at getting a baiting pole but didn't fancy having all the bits separate such as with the non telescopic ones

I have the 12m version brought for the same reasons, whilst it has been ok it's a bit of a faff making sure you have extended each section fully otherwise once out there it fails to turn, unbelievably frustrating!
I'm on the look out for the Nash Bushwacker.

I've got a Saber 18M, it's a take apart pole but all the sections store inside one another for transport. It's pretty good up to 18M but if you want to go further the screw together extensions are a bit of a pain.

I think so, you might only need 4 - 5 sections and it will be easier & lighter with separate sections, the telescopic version you have the full weight regardless of distance, also cleaning it is harder than 1.5m sections, grit can also play it's part with telescopic.
I'll be purchasing the Nash when a deal comes up.

I was also toying with the idea of a telescopic one as I quite liked the compactness of it for transporting. But I ended up with a Bushwhacker and I haven't regretted it. Just liked the idea of unlimited extension pieces (though I've only bought 4 so far).
Whatever you decide, have a look at the second hand market. 👍

I'd take a look at the tackle box extension section kits rather than bushwhacker.
I went this route instead of a bushwhacker. It's made of carbon rather than fibreglass on the bushwhacker. So it's lighter and stiffer. Also doesn't fill with water!! It will still snake a bit when pushing out a long way, but not remotely like a bushwhacker does.
I originally bought just one kit to extend my original AI 12m pole. I then bought another plus several single sections. Basically like the bushwhacker you can add as many as you like. The AI pole stays in my bag unless really needed for that extra bit of length. Only downside I've found is that as it is overfit joints I tend to push them on too tight, making taking apart more difficult than it should be! I got round that by adding short sections of heat shrink grip tube at each end to aid twisting apart.

The tackle box version is decent and well made, I also got the 6m extension kit for it.
Worth noting though, I bought the tackle box version probably like a lot of owners, prior to the bushwhacker being released.
In all honesty, I'd have sooner got the bushwhacker over the tackle box version, if I had a choice of the two. It just looks more versatile in how it can be used.
It'll really depend on how far out you intend on using it. 18m or under the tackle box version will be perfect. You just have to make sure you give the sections a good twist to lock them in place or they can end up spinning around when you twist the pole to unload the spoon.
Anything above 18m usage, I'd get the Nash version.

I've got the telescopic Sabre one and it does the same thing. I can't take the stress of going through the process of shipping it all out and not knowing if at the end of it I won't be able to deposit the contents into the water. It's better when it's dry but by its very definition it seldom is. It's probably the worst piece of fishing tackle I've ever bought. A fundamentally flawed product.
