Hi, I've searched to the best of my ability but cant seem to come up with an answer.
Looking for recommendations for silent head alarms.
1) Receiver range not a factor
2) Not a fan of too many options/buttons to press
3) Volume control on receiver a must
4) re-rechargeable or long life
Last time i looked ATT's were just making an appearance (to give you an idea how long I have been out of the game for)

ATT's all the way. My set, well over 10 years old, is still going strong. They're just about the only item of tackle that I've not upgraded / changed since getting them.

Nev's with faulty speakers, that's what I use 
Love my att's, was a bit dubious when I bought them. Think mine are getting on for 10 years and the batteries last me ages

Most of the alarms you can switch the volume off or on nowadays
main players with no knobs or bells and whistles would probably be
ATTS
TLB or TLB +

ATTs are good but obviously if your receiver breaks they're useless.

Had the standard tlb before my att and they were great,simple alarms

i use the fox rx and just always have the head volume right down to nothing and the volume up on receiver. sorted

Sorry to hijack the thread.
I need a cheap back up set of alarms. The most important thing is that the receiver must be half decent as I'm sick to the back teeth of my pony delkims.
What is the range and more importantly the reliability of the ATTS receiver? I'm not taking miles away but for an upcoming trip I'd at least like to be able to wander a couple of close swims away without being terrified.

I think you will find almost all the alarms today
have a volume so you can turn them off so your not just stuck for choice personally I like an alarm with a sensitivity adjustment

If you get the Deluxe receiver for the ATTs range will not be an issue. I was using mine at Ashmead a few weeks ago, and for anyone that knows the lake you have rods poking through gaps here and there with a huge amount of undergrowth between you and the rod. I was helping someone out in another swim (further from my rods than I should have been, granted) and the receiver still picked up the liners I was getting
