looking to get out on the bank for some winter fishing but I am slightly sceptical due to the fact that I suffer with Raynaud's in my fingertips. On cold days while out and about it can get fairly painful and I was just wondering if anybody has any hints and tips as regards trying to prevent the pain. I have currently looked at gloves and hand warmers do they work ??

the tea bag style hand warmers are brilliant. I suffer terribly with cold feet, tried all manner of boots, socks and different combinations and hacks (at great expense) and none were overly successful .... until i tried the hand/foot warmers .... total game changer for me.

An older fella that I fish with occasionally has a pair of heated gloves as he suffers with a bit of arthritis
He swears by them. Says it makes a huge difference for him in the colder weather. From memory I think they cost a bit, but he said it was worth the investment over the cheaper options

My wife suffers with this, we do a lot of mountain biking aside from fishing. Last year she purchased the Sealskinz heated gloves and they've been a game changer for her. I don't think the battery life would be good for session fishing but only turning the heater on when you feel your fingers going cold could extend the life significantly.

Indeed a painful / frustrating challenge for you.
I guess it's all about keeping your hands moving and warm.

Got some heated socks for XMas and trialled them at home - they do work but unfortunately too small for my Franz Klammer skiing calves so will be sending back . . .

For your feet, thermal wellies and wool socks, maximum wool in the blend
For the hands a good quality mitten, all fingers in the same part of the glove

I am a fellow sufferer, Skeetex moon boots on my feet keep them warm.
The shake to activate heat packs inside some gloves keep the hands warm, paired with the odd cup of tea to really give them a good blast.
