Just watched it on demand, but it all seemed a bit familiar, I got to the end and Ulrika was a no show.... realised I'd watched last year's (again!)
so carried straight on to this year's!

It was a good programme, but was spoiled slightly for me by knowing that it was filmed in the summer.
The Lofoten Islands are in the Arctic circle, so in December and January, the sun never rises, and are in the dark.

Norway is a beautiful country. I've spent some time there in Oslo and Hemsedal where we had a hytte near the river just below the Hydro-electric dam.
No mains electricity or water supply, we had to rely on solar and getting water from the river, along with the occasional trout.
Deep snow in winter, but the hut was always warm with a lovely log burner.
I've not been over for years now

Yes, I have been, but not to the north. We did Oslo, Kristiansand and Stavanger which are all lovely, but I'd really like to visit the north - Lofoten and Tromso.
We had hoped to see the Aurora when we went, but it didn't happen, thankfully we got to see it on the Isle of Skye (another stunning place) a few years ago
