I'm after a slimline 5 rod holdall and main contenders appear to be the Trakker NXG or Korda Compaq. Is there anything that makes one the stand out buy over the other or is it just down to colour preference.

I've got both, Trakker one in a 5 rod and korda in a 3 rod. Both are very well padded and protect the rods well and have enough pockets for everything. The korda one is at it says compact - by that i mean it can be a very snug fit to get everything in!
Whilst i do like the korda one and recommend both holdslls, if your fishing with big reels then i'd be going for the trakker one, korda dont seem to have taken into account big bit reels when it came to designing the holdall unfortunately.

Thanks, I've got the Okuma Inc6000 reels so hopefully they should fit without too much bother

I have 2 x 3 rod korda ones (12' & 13') and they are nice and tight for big pit reels which is good because there is less movement. Can't comment on the 5 rod but 3 rods are very good quality.

I've got the korda 12ft three rod which is a snug fit in the reel area with three 5500 fize reels but I like it. Also got the 13ft 5 rod which is a snug fit in the reel area if I put three rods the same way up with all three 14000 reels side by side so I have the rods two up one down and can easily put my spod rod in the down position as well. Think korda have designed these around the slimmer basia reels rather than the bigger diameter spooled shimies. Love them though so I wouldn't be looking at anything else.

12ft 5 rod Compac here. 3 inc 6000's will fit side by side no problem, I've got them myself. I can get 3 Infinity X's in side by side, but it's very tight. I put them in 2 up, with a floater rod in between and 1 down, with a marker rod also going down. Spod rod goes in a sleeve attached to the side.

Got the 5 rod 13ft compact
3x invinty baitrunners, and 2x okuma spod/marker reels all fit fine.
Yes it's tight and you'll need the handles in a inner position but that's the requirement from it, compact.

I've got the Fox camolite 3 up 2 down when taking my four rod setup and spod rod abroad, works well with any size reel and 50mm rings reasonably priced as well.

I have the 3 rod Korda one and the padding is very good. can be tight around the reel area depending on reel.
to give you an idea: Emblem XA5000 were snug, original isos fit well, and Castizms with room
there isnt loads of room if you take loads of strom rods etc, but my banksticks are on my rucksack and storm rods in my brollie so all i have are landing net handle, esp distance sticks and a throwing stick (poking out the pocket). think i also have a spare longer banskstick in there too.
i thought the various handles on it were a bit OTT but having used it a few times the positioning appears to be v well thought out for loading car/barrow etc. clearly some thought has gone into them

For less bulk Trakker 3 Rod Sleeve will take 5x rods - 3x inside (plus throwing stick in the inner central sleeve) plus 2 utilities with tip tops / reel protectors strapped to the outside and located in a dedicated pocket at the base

I just ordered a prolgic avenger multi sleeve. Looks ok for a relatively small price tag but we'll see how long it lasts

i'm just back from the tackle shop and ended up buying the Korda Compac 3 Rod Holdall 10 FT
-Fox not in stock
-Nash, Sonik, Solar all very poor padded
-Aqua was oke but on the inside it is not completely made of water-repellent smooth fabric, after a while this can scratch your rods.
The Trakker one was also oke but not but not as heavily padded as the Korda.
I almost bought the Shimano All-Round HC Triple Rod Sleeve it feels more like a hard case, nowadays holdalls are a joke I still remember my old Daiwa holdalls when you stepped on it the reel part didn't collapse.
