Wasn't he running some lake syndicate of his instead of making bait.
Can't remember when he stopped, Pre or post Covid.

I only ever used them once around 15 years ago and the bait arrived covered in white / mould type substance, I never used them again.
I may have the time period slightly wrong by 2 or 3 years either way however, at around the same time I purchased some Tails Up Nirvana Rods and two of them snapped on the cast so, my experience of them at the time was not great to say the least.
A shame really as I had heard good things about the Protavit Liver at the time but, never trusted the company again.

The company has changed hands since then
Ash Bradbury now owns it
I have used the baits for the past five years
mainly the OCM and had great success on it.
The current owner Ash is very helpful and knows his stuff
I would recommend them 👍

I had two absolutely disastrous batches of bait off Ash. I wouldn't try it again if it was free.

Indeed...everyone was a "field tester" back then as well lol. Good old Jim. I met him for the first time by complete accident whilst walking round Welly, must have been 20 years ago now while it was all a bit secret squirrel. Stopped and asked if he'd caught anything then spend the next hour or so chatting about fishing and bait, I liked him.
I loved the PL, caught well on it to be fair.

The new sea monsta looks like a winner based on the listed ingredients.

Protavit Liver was a very simple base mix. Pretty much liver meal, maize meal, soya meal or flour and semolina, with an added liver flavour. I'm also 99% sure that it also contained fenugreek in some form or another.
