This Ridgemonkey tackle box takes the absolute biscuit. It's dreadful in every way. Where do I start?
The lids. Each compartment on the base of the base section has a poorly fitting clear plastic lid. If these are taken back slightly too far, they break clean away rendering the compartment useless.
The magnetic fasteners. A magnetic fastener on each corner provides for a secure (ish) closing. Opening is immediate and sudden. We arent talking a smooth entry by any means. Any ill-fitting lid on any compartment will release, liberating your swivels and beads...everywhere.
The fasteners on the base lid have to be checked and double checked before closing the lid. Any mistake and your terminal bits are flung out.
A lid containing compartments needs to have very securely fitting compartment lids. This box does not. Ive had it a month and an on my second, having had a replacement sent out, but Ive resigned the thing to the tackle shed and dont expect to use it again. £49.99 down the drain.

Send it back! Tell them its next to useless and demand your money back. Dont throw 49.99 in a shed and forget about it lol. Imagine how much uselss rubbish you can send 50 sheets on

. . .I've never really understood these hyper complex tackle boxes . . .had the original Fox Large system back in the day and eventually got frustrated with all the little mini-components as couldn't find what I wanted half the time etc . . .most of the bits these were populated with still remain in the box, in the back of the garage! Did the same with the mini version - now also redundant!
Soft case solution much better - leave your bits (hooks / swivels etc) in their original retail packaging (saving time populating ridiculous mini-boxes) and locate together and as needed making what you ACTUALLY need easier to find. When they run out bin them and replace - you'll be amazed at what you actually NEED by regularly using items rather than just buying them and looking at them occasionally / forgetting you ever bought them in the first place. . . !
Trakker NXG PVA pouch / Combi Rig pouch ideal for this and cheaper . . .

Nearly sold my Korda box to get one of these.
Went into my local to have a look at one first. Glad I did. Within 1 minute of looking around it, gave it them back and said no thanks. The plastic lids were a joke as OP states. Looked at them and items of terminal tackle would be falling through the gaps, they were that big.

I really do struggle to many good ridgemonkey products,they must have a following unless they would be out of business by now.

Not sure why people buy a dedicated tackle box with 'carp tax' attached. My last rigid box was a racco box, perfect, indestructible. I now use a small tupperware box, clear plastic and came with cakes included from poundland. Still perfect after about 5yrs of abuse

I agree with Belch a soft case with most of bits in there packets and the rest in old film canisters eBay £3 for ten I still think best box was the Fox back in the day take it back £50 is £50 towards more tackle

I use a few tupperware boxes for some bits and I got the NGT (korda lite) box & Korda rig safe. Holds everything I need and doesn't have excessive carp tax on it.

I was in two minds between one of these and the Korda tackle box, I watched a few videos on YouTube all having problems so I went for the Korda tackle box thank god these ridgemonkey box's look crap
After having numerous tackle boxes when my fox box died I picked up a set of 3 plastic boxes with clip lids .
Much better than all these overpriced boxes with added carp tax .
And all for the princely sum of £3.99 😍. Who's the mugs eh

I now use a trakker pva pouch for all my terminal tackle, spools of stuff and pva bits. It pretty much holds everything and I love it. I'm past trying to keep loads of tiny components in little sectioned boxes. Far less chance of spilling everything if stuff is in a packet and you can see what it is easily too.
