Been having a play around for years but never really managed to produce anything I've been happy with consistently.

I really like using paste in conjunction with boilies and tend to wrap it around my hookbait if I intend it to be in pond for a while and also around my lead at times. I have also in the past baited with big balls of it but that can be quite expensive ( this was based on a fishmeal bait).

I'm looking for some more inspiration on products to use and ideas if any of you guys are willing to share your experiences as I'm still convinced there is something in it!

Thanks All

If you are using a manufactured boilie buy some base mix from the same range if you can , use this in conjunction with the same liquid food present in the boilie and or some attractive liquids like liquid liver , fish hydro etc and combine with water to make a matching paste

The bait I use at the moment doesn't sell the matching paste... hence trying making my own I'm afraid.

Blitz some down in a food processor and knead into a paste with liquids on an egg

Hi mate,

I've been using my own paste for some years, done really well on it.

Personally I'd ignore any readymade basemixes as you don't really want the binding ingredients. Try a decent fishmeal maybe LT94 and mix with a good hydroslate until you get the required consistency.

The world is really your oyster with a paste. So many things you can try. Milk powder and yeasts have worked well for me

Marvel & CLO combined with a liquid, very simple & effective.
As someone else said so many options.

From the cc Moore site... Hydro fish and pre digested fishmeal what's not too like? 👌

Tip:

Add 150g of Pre-Digested Fish Meal to 500ml of Trout/Halibut Pellet Oil to make a thin, oily solution that is very attractive to all species. Store this in a warm area and soak hook baits and freebies in it for days, weeks or even months to create baits with an appetite-stimulating coat.

This liquid can also be developed into a paste mix by simply increasing the amount of Pre-Digested Fish Meal. In colder conditions swap Trout/Halibut Pellet oil for Tuna L030, adding a little water to thin the liquid if required.

Raw sausage meat is very good. Lots of free aminos and (dependent on choice) lots of spices and herbs.. just need a bit of imagination as to how to make it more user friendly.... 👍👍

My grandad used to take me fishing as a kid. We messed around with flavoured sausage meat pastes. One batch of strawberry flavoured went in the freezer and my Nan pulled it out for a scoop thinking it was strawberry ice cream.

We were then banned from the freezer.
