I don't over indulge in "t internet so only watch u tube. Neither do I believe everything I see and read in the newspapers. A man may speak a thousand words, and only ten may be true. That doesn't mean they aren't worth listening to. You need the ability to differentiate between **** and shinola.. For a laugh watch the jerk.

Used to enjoy watching Penners but his constant twitter ramblings about Covid drove me round the bend.
I do watch the Dave lane/Terry Hearn stuff on YouTube but no I wouldn't pay for it.
But everyone is entitled to their opinion and if they are happy to do so then fair play.

Always was neutral towards adam penning, some good, some bad. But i love people daring to speak out, being their own man, being ahead of the curve and all that, so eversince i saw some yt video with him going against the narrative i think he's a top bloke. I mean, i see grown men wearing a nappy on yt when i want my fishing video's fix. This is not normal.
He shouldn't be on ****ter though, but apparently he is, and since everything remotely interesting is banned over there it can't be that spicy:P

Dave Lane's stuff is worth the 5er a month for me, he is essentially giving you a read out of all of his books with extra info and descriptions of how it happened.

I read all his books more than once, so I don't really understand why I would pay to hear him re-read them to me
I do feel every quid spent on Dave is worth it. Love his writing and do not begrudge him the money to practice his passion and keep me entertained in the process. Especially so because I believe he used to basically live on the bank and gave up loads for fishing and writing. I don't mind supporting him as he gets older

The tales Dave tells are so much more in depth than his books, including a lot of stuff that he obviously thought would be iffy to write about. The Sonning stuff was brilliant, and thought provoking too. Well worth £5 a month.

I've also read all his books, and signed up for his Patreon material early.
Think I've said before that his way of describing the fishing, along with the extensive video content he's accumulated over the years, brings the book content vividly to life. Probably my best £5 a month investment, I also currently pay for Leon's, Joe's CarpAngle and Cypography (which is probably the one I'll drop first, some of the content seems a bit thin.).
