It all went wrong when the gob ***** entered fishing and realised they could get 5 minutes of fame and it conditioned a generation or two! Couple this with a falsified image that carping is cool to sell mass produced “must have” ***** and everybody trying to cash in on the pastime. The rest as they say is history. What a ****ing mess

Exactly this. Avoid big fish day tickets and ditch social media and carp fishing isn't much different than 20 years ago if you find the right lake.

The number of threads on here that complain about something they have seen on Facebook or YouTube is silly when it's so easy not to see these things.
