Certainly would be an odd thing to fake. To a non angler, or pretty much anybody outside the British angling scene, I doubt they would see the issue with doing this. I doubt many TV execs would see the issue with this as "what's the difference between this and what you do anyway"

We are part of a massive pastime/sport yet time after time we have no media, governance or pressure applied to find the truth. There are tens of thousands of £ being made and most other walks of life this kind of stuff would be looked into.

As far as I know none of the above has been met with any kind of apology - just a NO NO NO - prove it. One day we will get caught out - and we will all kop it. If we can't, or don't regulate from within, any one of the above could get column inches and overnight we will be the fox hunters of yesteryear.
That's why threads like this are important- to get everyone to understand thier own moral compass. If this wasn't a true video - I would be shouting from the rooftops and make sure that the truth outs - I hope this is his sole focus and he concentrates all his efforts to expose the scam.

Well I'm not in the slightest bit surprised, if true or if faked.
I've heard 'rumours' of similar incidents several times over the years.
If it's faked I'm not surprised because there are plenty of jealous, malicious people about, who will put effort into trying to ruin things for others.

In the old days it was word of mouth and mostly to those 'in the know', now with social media a frenzy can be whipped up in a day, true or not, detestable!

It is hard to draw any conclusions from such a short piece of film. Whilst I agree that this does appear damning, imagine if the cameras were on you in your workplace. I bet we've all done or said the odd thing that we're not proud of at work. and let's make it clear, this is not Fishing, this is work to these guys. Not my world, but it is theirs.

Whether it's work or not makes absolutely no difference to whether it's ok or not though does it.
If that's deemed acceptable by some of those who make a living from angling they can shove their content up their arse.
If it turns out to be true I won't buy Angling Times again if he's still doing a column. I've never bought anything from Nash anyway so nothing would change there.

The Jack Reid post says the footage is extensive and there's no doubt to the identity of those involved. So the clip is just a small part of it and it looks like ‘those involved' won't have much of a leg to stand on if they carry out the threatened legal action...
