I just took a look at their website just out of curiosity (would have no intention of spending my money on their products)
For a company thats just starting off they have pretty much out priced themselves on most clothing products than the other big named firms... £56.99 for a hoody, £26.99 for a t-shirt 🤷♂️

People will pay £60 for a hoody and £30 for T-shirt if the quality is there. I don't see those prices as that crazy.
This is an age where people queue up to spend £1000 on a glorified umbrella and £600 on a set of alarms.

It's all been designed with the guy that set up Ted Baker so should be better than most of the other fishing clothing

I dont understand this theory, when were ted Baker leaders in the outdoor clothing market...maybe I'm wrong but didn't they do shirts,t-shirts handbags dresses and shoes?
maybe he has contacts to foreign sweatshops and cheap labour to maximise profits, maybe the the clothing is good...just don't understand the ted Baker connection....no dig at you personally mate, I've heard the ted Baker thing banded round lots

In theory you would hope the quality control is in place for the clothing range and the materials used ect are more inline with the outdoor clothing companies. Let's face it people pay stupid money for so called fashion items that are all made in said sweat shops

It should also mean that the clothing is manufactured exclusively to a set specification rather than a Fruit of the Loom hoody with a print on.
Time will tell I guess.
I agree Ali can be a bit of a pain on TV, but he always comes across well when being interviewed. The recent Nash podcast is a good example.

I agree mate, just not sure what credibility the investor brings to the outdoor clothing market...Ali brings alot to the table so no doubt it will do well with his marketing and following....im no Ali or korda basher...just go with the flow and buy what I feel suits me amd my fishing.

in my eyes the ted baker link adds no credibility (possibly the opposite), but does have years and years of contacts and relationships that will reduce the cost, and increase the speed Ali can get garments on the market. Probably worth his weight in truffles just for that reason

I don't think the guy behind Ted Baker will give a flying ****. My mate used to buy from him when he started out and used to go round shops in his van, respect to the fella, made a mint but he used to sell quality stuff that nobody else was wearing at the time. Another marketing ploy to catch idiots

The hate is fueled by jealousy, simple as that! Some saying he should have stayed at korda etc! If he had that attitude, not willing to take risks, he wouldn't be as successful as he is.
Amazes me how people feel it necessary to knock others who are trying to make something of themselves, i guess it probably makes them feel better to do so. Credit to him I say, a gutsy decision, but he obviously backs himself to do it. Hats off to the guy.

Because Ali is taking it mainstream and that's not ‘cool' on here.

The fact that Hamidi has done a Nash podcast and is happily punting Fox bivvies and alarms shows just how much he has sold out and just how fickle he is.....can't stand the bloke and would not lower myself to buy any of his overpriced re-badged gear.

I don't suppose you listened to it? He mentions being trolled for using fox gear since leaving Korda. Apparently he was mates with the guys who now do product development at Fox when he fished Redesmere.
I couldn't give a monkeys what kit anyone uses, he just seems like an ok guy trying to make his way on his own.
