I know my own individual actions are quite limited in effect, but I have recently unliked/unfollowed a number of high profile anglers from all my social media accounts and I will be much more critical/skeptical when it comes to choosing bait in the future. Not sure what else any lay person can do, but I feel like I've done something.

I've just come back from a 24hr Barbel session on the tidal Trent. £80 for the year, 1.5 miles of river and I had nearly a mile to myself. It's only ever busy at the start of the season, and by busy I mean there's a guy 100 yards to the side of you...
I'm struggling to even bring myself to get back into the circus of Carp fishing these days.

There's no doubt about his ability as a carp catcher he is machine like in his effort. I just hope there is nothing to taint his catches.

The carp industry should be shouting at the top of their voices, BUT, the silence is deafening
Why ? Because they either choose not to believe it, OR know the extensive repercussions that will follow, drastically affecting their businesses, as a result of this going on public record.
This whole issue leaves a bad taste in my mouth

I may not agree with the Korda marketing model, advertorials and the Hamidi years, but I do agree with you about Danny Fairbrass. (I did like his getting his backside out into shops himself, his determination to sell his leads).
The Embryo fisheries, an attempt to protect fishing from otter predation, maybe he does need to go hand in hand and show our lovely RSPCA what has happened with numbers of otters being above carrying level.
If he spoke out against any use of hormones I am certain the angling market from manufacturers to anglers would sit up and take notice and clean up its act.

Simple really, send Danny/Korda an email telling them your booked onto Gigantica and ask if it's ok to lace your bait with hormone once you arrive.
