Use 24mm baits, gulls won't get them then. Not many to the kilo mind

I've got the Diem stick and for bigger baits and longer range I have the Starbaits stick.
Both are not a lot of money and work very well indeed.
I had a Korda stick when they first came out and couldn't use it at all apart from adopting a two handed overhead technique.
I find on the waters I fish a more tactical approach is required to baiting i'e wait till someone else on the other side of the lake is baiting up and the gulls are pre occupied with that then get stuck in yourself... I usually put out 5 X 15mm out at once so you can usually get 4 or 5 shots in before they are on you....then wait for the other guy to start baiting again...they fly over to him and you start the whole process again.
Or....as has been stated wait till it goes dark....pick a far bank marker and spunk away

The whole point of using a throwing stick is to spread the bait about. If you practice you can be as accurate as you need to be.

If you cant see them landing, how do you know they are in the wrong place

The ace velocity and Daiwa in 25mm are very close in the distance they can achieve in my hands and the fox rangemaster also in 25mm is very close and has the benefit of a loading port.

Had a korda stick about 7 year ago and loved it then got a nash cyber shot had that a few year and didn't like it at 1st then got use to it but broke it last season and just got a not carbon throwing stick and must say it is the best stick 8 have used out of all 3 of them there mint for the money

I've got 2 the korda easi stik which I really rate and a 10 year old badger tackle stick which for £4 has been flawless I tried a metal one once Nd couldn't get to grips but the korda one has been perfect and I have very few misses with it

Im not usually a fan of their gear but I have a Nash Cybershot and think its brilliant. I was putting 18mm baits accurately at 108 yards with it with no issue. Only problem I have seen is they don't like softer baits and can make them split easily.
As said ton get the ridge monkey one - the grip was horrendous and the noise was horrible from the first generation ones. I sat laughing at a mate for a week in France when he had one. Tried it and didn't like it at all.

I have the Cybershot as well. Bought it off a chap in France for 20 euros. Great bit of kit but as you say, not too good with softer baits.
I just had a Cyber-lite Stealth delivered. Usually £69.99 but got it for £50 from Ebay. Just a shame I cant test it out yet!
