Not sure how things or thick walled the blank is but surely a Century Armalite mk3 is a lovely lovely tool to play fish on ,plus when needed they'll stop a fish for sure ...

I like rods exact as you describe a sensitive tip but with a butt that will lock up.
For the last 20years I have been using esp vertex rods in 3lb tc. They are perfect but long since discontinued.
Reason I mention this is possibly the latest version of the terry hearn rods might be worth a look at being the same supplier.

had an old set (the green blanks) of FBS in 3lb that were pretty through action . . .I'm assuming the re-release has an updated blank and if you read the current description, fits what you're looking for . . .
I had FBSs in 2.5 and 3.5, the old green ones.
The 2.5s were for an old estate lake, these are my lifetime rods..albeit rebuilt with cork and re-rung like barbel rods.
Bought the 3.5s an a whim thinking that they would be capable of more.
Was fishing a weedy snaggy water lake margins to 70yds, will cast further though thats not really what they are for
proper margin beasts, hook & haul, hooped over at 50-60yds a bit too much to be in control.
On one hand I kinda wished that I'd bought the 2.25s, once into the butt section both of the lighter rods come into their own.
On the other hand..I think 2.75s instead of 3.5s would have been more flexible for a bit longer range. But by then Centruy had changed to the horrible colour changing (not) bronze.

Daiwa infinity x 2.75 are great all rounders if you can find a set. Easily cast 100 yards with plenty of power in reserve and play fish really well.

I had a set of 12 footers for quite a few years, beautiful rods at the time, loved them, just found them lacking with bags and distance on one water i was fishing at the time.

From what I recall trying one out, TackleBox CFX 2.75lb 12 ft black edition ticks your boxes.
Was going to suggest going into the store and trying one out but noticed where you are that won't be possible.
I compared this Rod against a Free Spirit ES and F.S. CTX 12 ft 2.75lb, and went with the ES as I wanted a more thru action. (which it isn't, but as close as possible)
Don't know if they still sell the CFX, but it's a lovely Rod with that bit of back bone that the ES doesn't have.

Chimera 12ft 2.75 are lovely blanks - if you can find a pair.
As already mentioned the Torrix 12ft 2.25 is very versatile and punches well above its weight. I much prefer it to the Torrix 2.75.
Ano option would be the old Maximiser SPD rods - superb quality. I had a set of 3lb’s and should never have sold them. I think they made a few in lower test curves too ?

And not forgetting the original 12ft Century C2 2.75lb rods.
Can't say I have used a 2.75lb rod with such a nice action. Plenty soft enough to be a dream to play fish with, but bend progressively into the butt when some power is needed.
Can't comment on wall thickness, but light in the hands and easy to cast accurately.
